Hello everyone.  My name is David Cruz.  While undergoing a reenlistment physical at the 28 year mark of my career in the United States Marine Corps, I was diagnosed with Stage-4 kidney failure.  This was an unpleasant surprise to me, my family and friends, but I'm glad they were able to find it when they did.  All I could do was pray and ask God for His guidance.  I have been on the transplant list for the past two years, and I have finally found someone who is willing to donate their kidney to me; my niece, Rebecca.  Our surgery is scheduled for 12 November 2015 at the Walter Reed National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. 

Becky is 34 years old, and a mother to three beautiful children. I am honored by the love she has for me and her willingness  to give me another opportunity at life.  While it is a blessing that our medical portion of this endeavor is covered by Tricare, Becky will be out of work for a few weeks while she recovers.  I feel that it is my responsibility as an uncle, and the recipient of such a generous gift, to do all that is within my power to assist  with the miscellaneous expenses that she will incur while in recovery. I desperately need your prayers and financial contributions.  Understand that no amount is too small and every contribution will afford me the opportunity to be a blessing to my niece as she has been to me.
