Fighting for life

$20,585 of $25,000 goal

Dennis was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February of this year. He has endured 1 round of chemo and radiation each. Currently he is undergoing his second round of chemo. Hopefully the tumor on the head of his pancreas will have shrunk enough to remove soon..
Our community in Fort Bragg Ca has been extremely generous by helping with our lodging and drug costs thru this nightmare. We are extremely thankful for this financial and moral support.
We still have a ways to go and still need all the support we can get. The surgery, hopefully in the near future, and recovery process are still looming but are welcome as well. Dennis truly wants to get on with his life here in the town he loves.
Thank you all for sending Dennis the courage to fight.

Supporters, Friends and Family of Dennis Dias. I’m happy to say Dennis is now being treated with a targeted therapy drug. Go Science!
He’s just started it and we have high hopes. We still have to go to SF every 3 weeks for the infusion and he still is feeling the side effects but his will is great and he’s always looking forward. The Fort Bragg Library is his center for all the people he loves and gets so much healing energy from!
Thank you All for your support !

Friends and Family of Dennis Dias. I’m touching base with you to let you know Dennis is still “stable “ and working very hard to shrink his cancer enough to operate. He is still at the library and loving it and his friends there. We are still driving to SF for chemo every 3 weeks. Again, thank you all for your loving support and for cheering Dennis on..... he responds well to that!

Friends, Family and Supporters of Dennis Dias. This update finds Dennis feeling stable and hopeful during this Holiday season. He’s continuing his chemotherapy treatments in San Francisco and has an iron will to continue. The next endoscopy and CT Scan is scheduled for sometime in February. Your donations and emotional support have helped Dennis get through this crazy year and it looks like we’re headed for another, with any luck at all!
We love and thank you all,
See you at the Library!

I look at the response to this appeal today and think how lucky I am, we all are not only to know Dennis and Cat, but to live in a community that cares and gives what they can for their friends and neighbors. With all the sad news in the world today, it is wonderful to know we live in a community that can respond so fast to a friend in need. Thank you all...and keep on fighting, Dennis and Cat!

What a great photo oyf Dennis and Rosie! We've been to the library twice to see Dennis, but both times he was so busy, we didn't disturb him. We'll try again next week. We were so happy to see him smiling and busy in the library again. Our love to you both...and to Rosie!
