Vonte Julian Mora's Memorial

Donation protected

As some of you know my wonderful, handsome, amazing son Vonte' passed Saturday night in a motorcycle crash.  He was on his way to his Christmas party for work.

My Baby Boy is gone.

He was run over by a car after someone pulled out in front of his bike. There are no words to describe him. How do you describe perfection? I got the pleasure to spend one more Thanksgiving with him.

He hugged me so tight, told me what a good cook I am and that he never tells me he loves me enough (but truly he did...he was always just worried that he didn't).  It was like I knew something was wrong. We snuggled on the couch while I rubbed his hands and feet like when he was a little guy. I can still feel his hugs and the texture of his skin.  I can still remember the day they put him in my arms at 17. We grew up together. "My little buddy". We have come so so far. There is no worse feeling than losing a child. Such a beautiful life cut short.

I am working on both a service here in Fort Myers and one back home in Washington.  The fort meyers service has been arranged and will be at St. Cecelia's Catholic Church Saturday December 16th, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.   There will be a celebration of life put on by Around the Clock Fitness at 12:00 where you can come and enjoy Vonte's favorites: doughnuts and Sun Harvest Orange Juice.

Me and the school have recieved hundreds of messages, emails, and calls from all over inclusing several college administrators where his friends had gone.  His clients, his friends, family of course.  He was a very inspirational young man.

He worked at Around the Clock fitness as a personal trainer.  He truly cared about his clients.  He would call me for help meal planning for them, discussing their acute and chronic illnesses and how to train them properly.  He was truly interested in treating the whole person.  He said to me one day "I feel bad for charging people, I feel like i'm doing them a dis-service until I have more knowlege...I mean mom I have the certification, but I want to know more so I can help them".

The gym is going to help set up a bracelet fund with Vonte's motto on it "Time is valuable.  Be healthy enough to enjoy it".  You can pick up bracelets for a donation at the gym.  The bracelets will help with his memorial here and back home.

My ultimate goal would be to set up a scholarship fund in his name to put other trainers through their certification.   I feel I need to push forward and continue to do things in his name.

Vonte Julian Mora 3-6-1998 - 12-2-2017. I "love you buddy". I just want to hold you. You are my greatest accomplishment

I also have a Bank of America account set up for him.  That information is posted in the update section To this page.
