Do you appreciate the unexpected?
A new theatre company probably wouldn't shoot for five Shakespeare shows in their first season. But we're not most theatre companies, and we set the bar high. We're looking for people like you, who appreciate our desire as young artists to explore our passions and push our limits. Our approach means things are never the same twice, and guarantees you've not seen anything like a Voices Found show.

Do you think it's important to have year-round access to new art?
We do, too. That's why we've got two shows under our belt already, two more in rehearsal, and another two original works in development. And you can be a part of it all.

We want to be Milwaukee's source for year-round Shakespeare, and provide a stage for new voices to be heard. You can join our team and help foster the arts scene in Downtown MKE.

Do you look for honesty in your work, and do you ask it of others?
Honesty requires a safe space to play, work, and explore. We maintain emotional openness and intelligence during our rehearsals. If you believe that artists create their best work when they’re allowed to be honest, your support encourages a safe, inclusive, creative space.

A team accelerates through chaos to achieve its goal, and Voices Found is nothing less than a team.  Our partnership with The Underground Collaborative gives us unlimited access to rehearsal space, an office, and a performance space. Our relationship with Giant Spider Productions, LLC. also gave us some startup cash to get off the ground.

Do you want to make a difference in your community?
$2,000 buys a show. This includes actor and crew pay, theatre rental costs, costumes, sets, programs, posters, and other expenses. $100 can costume six actors, build a stage full of Roman columns, or put stage-safe swords in the hands of our amazing fight directors. You can have a direct impact on our work, and we would be thrilled to hear your voice.

OUR PROMISE
We’re committed to bringing new voices to the Milwaukee theatre scene and creating opportunities for artists to connect and communicate. Your support, whether as a donor, patron, or friend of the arts, means the world to us.

You can be a part of our team.
Our GoFundMe will be open until the end of our season, Summer 2017. If you make multiple donations over the coming months, you will move up a step in our rewards program for each recurring donation of $50 or more. If a donation isn’t possible at the moment (which we, as starving artists with loan payments to make, understand), we hope you keep us in mind for the future.

Thank you,
Voices Found Repertory

Hello there, VFR! If my last name sounds even the tiniest bit familiar, it's because my brother Donald was in your last show, Richard III, as Brackenbury. He had been talking about VFR in high regards even before he had a show with you guys, and for me, it has always been a 'huh, cool, I guess.' I had never really considered myself a big fan of Shakespear due to the language buffer, but your performances in Richard III has changed that. The directing to the choreography, from the assets I assume you had, were stellar for an amateur theater troupe. And your program actually inspired me, and I now want to see the arts return to Milwaukee, because we need it. So, I know it probably isn't much, but here's $50. My bank account probably gonna hate me, but I don't care. Payday is tomorrow, and I want to express my gratitude for such an exemplary performance while it is still fresh in my mind. Just know that if I had a spare $10,000 lying around and didn't need it desperately for college, I'd give it to you guys in a heart beat. You guys have the potential to bring the works of one of history's greatest authors to the modern era to a city that doesn't even have it, and for that, I'm thankful. So please, pat yourselves on the back, and keep doing what your guys do best: Have awesome death scenes. PS: I'm sad that my brother died in the last scene and am ALSO sad that I missed the gorier rendition. That must've been SOOO cool!
