Reward~Person who Poisoned Animals

Donation protected
When I opened my antique business Downtown Arlington there was an abundance of feral cats.....everywhere.  I knew they were starving so I began  feeding the first three that hung around.  Over the weeks, months, and years  more and more came,  until it was out of control.

I have always been an advocate of animal control, but I didn't know where to start.  I began placing calls to animal groups, realizing I was not the only one concerned about the cats and the increasing population. Because they serve an important part of keeping the rat and mice population in check, we knew we wanted them....just not so many.

We talked to the City, and with the help of several organizations, began to trap, neuter, and release the ferals.   During the last four years our colony has decreased from over a hundred to about thirty......until now.  In fact, this is the first year we have had any litters of kittens, as people have dumped their unwanted cats here as well and it takes time to trap the new ones.

We are down to just two  cats because the unthinkable has happened with someone deciding they were  bothersome and to kill them ALL, even two week old baby kittens.   By replacing our food with tainted food, they were able to  accomplish their goal.

We feel we know who is guilty inasmuch as threats were made and words of hate spoken, even though the cats actually bother no one.  An active investigation has begun, but it could be a long process......but  we do not intend to stop until the person responsible for such a heartless and hanious crime has been arrested and convicted of  the felony of killing animals.

We are asking for donations in order to post a reward for an arrest and conviction of the coward killing our cats and to send a message about the seriousness of harming innocent animals.  We need the money right away to intice someone to step up and tell us what they saw.....the sooner, the better.

The only reason these cats are feral is because someone, somewhere was irresponsible and did not neuter their cat.....and strays are the end result of human behavior.....so why should the animal be blamed.   It is our responsibility to take care of the problems we as humans create.

To have closure to such a horrible situation would give us all inner peace and stress the importance to pet owner's of animal control.   We would be forever grateful and know the babies did not die in vain.
