Please help Vikki!
For many of us in the gaming community and Gears of War community, Vikki also known as @VikkkiMcC on Twitter  is a beloved, kind soul who is known for being one of the sweetest most selfless people in the community. She always puts others before herself and goes above and beyond to make other happy. She was recently diagnosed with a rare and deadly eye cancer and we really want to make sure she gets the help she needs to battle it! Vikki and Dylan (@EternityGoW ) are doing everything they can to save and find the funds for this surgery but it's going to be really tough. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Vikki would never set this up for herself but we would really like to do something for her like she does for others <3

About the Diagnosis
Vikki was diagnosed with a choroidal melanoma, also known as ocular melanoma. It is a rare and deadly form of cancer. Only 6 in 1 million people get diagnosed with it per year. It is little understood and is a silent killer. She woke up one day with blurred vision in her right eye and flashing lights, after a week of hoping it would go away, it didn’t and she made an eye appointment. The first doctor diagnosed her with a detached retina as the Dr saw an elevation in her choroidal. She was referred to a retina specialist where they did a series of tests and ultrasounds, and that it where it was discovered to be a mass, from there they referred her to Dr. Hovland, an eye cancer specialist in Denver, where they confirmed the mass, and diagnosed her with OM.

Surgery Info
"The surgery I will have having on August 2nd is a I-125 radiation plaque. They will sew a plaque which looks similar to a glass bottle lit, with radiation seeds implanted on it to my eye directly above where the tumor is located for 5 days. During this time I will have to be isolated due to being radioactive. On the 7th of August I will go in for surgery to have the plaque removed. From there they will monitor the tumor every 3 weeks where I will travel to Denver over the next year to make sure it is shrinking and dying.

Due to the type of cancer it is, it has a high chance of metastasis. So every 3-4 months for the next 5 years and then every 6 months thereafter (permitting all my scans continue to come back clear) I will have PET scans and mri’s on trouble sports to watch for the cancer spreading. I have repeatedly been called an anomaly as this cancer rarely happens in those younger than 50. As well as the fact that my tumor is a strange mass, being so large in diameter however not so large in thickness. "

Thank You!
The cost of the surgery alone starts at 6,500 for her out of pocket expenses and even just a little would really help!
