My name is Leah Crowley and my friend Victoria needs your help in order to help fulfill a wish.
Victoria is a disabled transgender woman. She's been on hormones for five years now and she's still not happy with her appearance. Gender dysphoria has contributed to further her social anxiety and depression in her life. Sometimes she'll be out and get dysphoric to the point of where she will go home in a panic and end up crying herself to sleep. Every day it is still a struggle to be the person she's always wanted to be. Being disabled has also made her unable to work and thus furthermore restricted.
Victoria is currently barely an A-Cup and she even dreads to look at herself in the mirror because of her lack of decent size breasts. Sometimes it makes her cry for hours at a time. Since she was little, she's known she was born into the wrong body, just like me. She knows her confidence and body positivity will be improved once she has the breast augmentation surgery, and Victoria then can finally be more confident and build her life to the point where she can finally be happy in her own skin.
Furthermore, she's had an invitation to be Maid of Honour at a friend's wedding.
Initially, when she found out she became so very excited and overwhelmed to receive this special news, but then she began to feel emotional and self-conscious regarding her appearance. She feels restricted by what she can and can't wear because of her small breasts. She doesn't want to be forced to wear a padded bra, or limit her dress pick to just a few dresses because she has no cleavage. It's every girls' dream to either be wed or to be a Maid of Honour.
I couldn't sit by and do nothing. Myself and other people of the LGBT community know the dedication and help which Victoria gives to us all, whether it's promoting others' events and fundraisers, or her perpetual campaigning and activism for the Transgender community. She has been there with us each day for over three years and continues to do so, so we all can have a better understanding and awareness to bring a happier and safer future for everyone.
Gender dysphoria is a very real condition which impacts trans people, but many surgeries like Breast Augmentation are seen as only cosmetic. Surgeries such as BA have a very real positive effect on the lives of trans people who desire them.
