Wales Coast 2 coast mountain bike

In August 2016 I will be cycling the welsh coast to coast. The route will be around 220 miles mostly off road. I will be doing this on my mountain bike and trying to do it in 24hours unaided and in one go. Anybody that  cycles will know how hard this route would be on a road bike let alone a mountain bike.

I will be raising Money for two causes.
Chwilog Primary school (my two children attend that school) and The wales air ambulance.

I hope to raise £250 for the school. Hopefully this might encourage the children to keep active and healthy.

And i hope to raise £250 for the air ambulance. The Wales Air Ambulance is an all Wales charity providing emergency air cover for those who face life-threatening illness or injuries.

The charity’s three helicopters are confronted with a diverse and challenging landscape.  Over 8,000 sq miles of remote countryside, bustling towns and cities, vast mountain ranges, and 800 miles of coastline.

With a widely scattered population and diverse landscape, many in Wales live in isolated locations, far from a major or specialist hospital. In urban areas, traffic congestion and collisions can significantly delay treatment when on a road ambulance. For these reasons, there is a recognised need for our three helicopters on active duty 365 days a year.
