 BONITA SPRINGS, FL
There is a certain six letter word that no one ever wants to hear and that will turn your world upside down in one single breath.  For Caio, our son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend, this six letter word only means that he needs to lace up his gloves and get ready to fight! With all the support and prayers from family and friends, there is no doubt in all of our minds that Caio will come out victorious in this fight.

As we prepare to take this journey and go down the road of treatment and recovery we would like to ask for all prayers, well wishes, good energy and would be very thankful for any donations that you are able to make. For the family and for Caio to have the peace of mind and not have to worry about the added stress of a finacial burden during this time would mean so much to all of us.

Every penny raised would go directly to helping Caio with his medical bills now and in the future.

We thank everyone for EVERYTHING and appreciate all of the prayers and support!

There are times and we have all had them, when our language falls short. When mere words, sounds, are not enough to express that which is deep within our hearts. This is such a time for us.
First, we want to tell you how grateful we are for the truly inspiring love and support from so many, but “grateful” cannot speak to the deeply experienced life changing emotions that penetrate us to our very souls. Your support made it possible for Caio to get the treatment he needed to cope with his disease and without you all Caio may not have made it this far. We love you all and we thank you all from the depths of our hearts.
Caio has now been fighting this disease for 11 months. So many of you have been there with him for every step, you are family now and always.
Caio had 3 months of chemotherapy in the beginning and although it had very dramatic and noticeable effects on him it did not do enough to kill the cancer growing inside. The huge size was not changing enough so Caio quit the chemo for two months to try and recover his health before undergoing a 9 ½ hour surgery to remove the mass. It was completely excised by two of the most talented and downright heroic surgeons that have ever practice medicine. We are forever grateful to them.
One month later the mass was back growing again and rapidly along with complications with his liver. Our oncologist at Moffitt Cancer Treatment Center prescribed additional chemotherapy and Caio underwent 6 more rounds of treatment. Caio had his check up on Tuesday the 7th of March and although the tumor initially shrank 60-70% the shrinking has stopped and blood tumor markers are again rising. The doctor let us know that he had no more therapy’s in mind to cure our son but could likely prolong his life with additional chemotherapy or possibly radiation.
This brings us to now.
Caio has not so much giving up on traditional cancer treatment as it has given up on Caio so we are seeking another path which actually makes more common sense than chemotherapy and radiation which are the only two “traditional” methods of fighting cancer.
Cancer is a failure of the body’s immune system and so called “alternative” treatments for this disease are designed to strengthen the body’s own immune defenses to find and eliminate the uncontrolled growth of cancer cells without attacking the entire organism. We have found a number of naturopathic treatment facilities in Mexico and one team of two American doctors who are pioneers in cancer research who have developed a new treatment which has worked absolute miracle cures for cancer patients who were in Caio’s position and worse.
The estimated cost of that treatment and the follow up treatment is near $100,000 and our family has exhausted all of our financial resources in the last 11 months. For this reason we are again turning to all of you for help. WE REFUSE TO QUIT and pray for your support to enable Caio to continue his fight. Please donate whatever you can afford as there is no amount too small to help make a difference.
Please join us in the fight to save this wonderful young man’s life.

We spoke to the Doctor last night, just bought the tickets and the hotel this morning. We leave on Sunday the 19th and the procedure is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday the 21st. You can find out about it at this web site; http://cancerablation.com Dr Williams told us about another of his patents who underwent the procedure a little more than two weeks ago and is now having a system wide (whole body) immune response and the cancer is disappearing so that gave us all alot of hope, most importantly for Caio. God Bless all of you wonderful people, without your help we only had a third of the money required for this next step. Words fail us...

Caio has used a little over $25,000 dollars for the last 11 months paying for his care so that total showing on the top of the page is a little deceptive as to where he is at now. The next phase is expected to cost around $65,000 and the phase after that $23,000 so we really need to get to the $105K mark. Please share and spread the word, many hands make light the work. Blessings and love to all, Valeria and Greg

Having gone through cancer just shy of 4 years ago, I know what it is like to have that stupid 6 letter word rattle your life. Regardless of the type of cancer, cancer is cancer and it plain sucks! My advice to you is to eat healthy throughout treatment (look up alkaline diet/cancer free diet), pray fiercely, be stubborn, live faithful, have hope and refuse to give up. You will kick this in the butt! Know that although we don't understand our circumstances or why we are where we are, God created us in his image, he has a plan and he loves you more than anything. Trust in Him and know that he knows that is best for you always. It is okay to be angry and frustrated, God knows, just remember that he is with you and he is willing to walk through this with you! Have faith!! I will be praying, God Bless!
