Help save Jillian's life
Jill is the most wonderful, kindest, loving, beautiful 27 year old young woman who has been diagnosed with a hereditary disease, about 5 years ago. This disease is called hereditary hemmoragic telangiectasia (HHT). It has had a huge effect on the health of her family, especially her mother and herself who both are currently suffering severely from this.
Jill is a fighter and she has been fighting this battle behind closed doors as she has kept this very close to her heart and private, until recently.
jill was told that she needs a liver transplant ASAP.
she is now reaching out to social media in any hopes of finding a suitable live donor.
Because of her and her mothers illnesses they both have been unable to work. Jill is the most incredible talented professional hair stylist who has won some very prestigious awards that has earned her a name for herself in the London area.
It saddens me deeply to see my good friend in the state of health that she is in.
This is where I am begging you all to please take the time to help support Jill and her family anyway you can.
Jill is the type of person who would never ask for help even if she really needs to, so I am doing it for her. Jill is fighting for her life right now and the last thing she should be worrying about is any financial burdens.
Not to long ago Jill was going through a new experimental treatment in hopes of curing her and those treatments were not cheap. $2500 each treatment to be exact and she had to get 1 treatment every other week for weeks on end, so you can imagine how quickly that added up. Jill wasn't even able to attend her own destination wedding in the Dominican as she was to sick to travel. She has been off work for months now and relies solely on the income of her very supportive and hard working husband Zach. But things are getting harder and harder each and every day.
I love Jill, and she really is a one of a kind person, and probably the most appreciative person I know. Please help me support this beautiful woman in any way you can. Every single cent counts and every dollar will be going straight to Jill.
Thanks for taking the time to read this
lets help our own london!
and prayers for Jill!
I am so overwhelmed with the amount of love and support each and every one of you has shown Jill and her fight for life.
I have received numerous messages inquiring about the process to become a possible living donor.
(Happily) There are too many people for me to write to individually so I am going to post that information on here.
I have spoken to Jill and this is the information that she sent me. Hope this helps.
It would be best if the people interested in potentially becoming a living donor could read the handbook that is right on the LHSC website regarding the whole process and what exactly it entails that would be wonderful.
Then after that if they are still considering to be a donor to contact Grant fisher the transplant coordinator.
Grant Fisher – phone 519-663-3760. E-mail address – firstname.lastname@example.org.
I hope this helps.
Thank you again everyone for sharing, caring, and helping fight Jill's fight.
It is so wonderful to see so many kind and caring people in the world who are just willing to help any way they can.
God bless you all.
I have never in my life felt so humble and grateful. I cant even begin to express the gratitude I have for each and every person who has donated, contacted me, sent me thier love and shows their support. For the time being, I am going to thank you all on this measly post on Facebook because it is the fastest way to reach you all without missing anyone. When I regain my energy I will make it a priority to thank everyone more personally or give back in some way. Love to all ❤
Another enormous thank you is due to all who donated to help my situation. I am so sorry to the family who lost thoer loved one...but please know that in that loss, life was given back. I am so grateful to have this second chance to live, and I do see life so incredibly different now. I was grateful for life before, but now I am able to truly say I have been so humbled by this experience. Thank you all for generous thoughts, love, money, visits, gifts and prayers. Zach and I are so thankful and wish you all good health and happiness. Xoxo Jillian
I want to say another enormous THANK YOU to all of you who have donated and continue to support my family and I through this hard time. I have never been so grateful for all the small (and big!)motions of love sent my way. I wish I were able to give back immediately to everyone who has shared my story, donated, gone through live donor assessment and just send their words of love and kindness. BLESS YOU ALL ❤

I am O+ve. Let me know if I can help.
If I'm a match I will gladly donate a portion of my liver. I'm AB+ blood type.
Jillian, I've been moved by your story. I'm 37 with two young children, and also waiting for a liver transplant, due to a rare disease. I know too well what you are going through, not only the pain, fatigue, itch etc. but also the fear that a liver will not come in time. I'm sorry that you feel this is a last resort. Don't lose hope that an organ will become available if not through living donor, then cadaveric. The reality is that about 1,665 patients are waiting for an organ transplant in Ontario. The MELD score system is in place to see that the most sick is helped first, but I know that it's hard to trust that this will work for you, I too question the process. I'm assuming that your score is not high enough to be considered for cadaveric donor. I am in this same situation. Doctors say you're life is at risk, the longer you go without transplant, but yet the organs are not available. So many must wait to get more ill before they can be helped. I think it's important to stress the need for higher donor numbers which may be achieved through changes like presumed consent/opt-out donation program in Canada. Also, perhaps you already know, but the trillium drug program, and Ontario disability should offer you some of the financial and drug coverage help you need, and lucky for us, transplants are free! http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/public/programs/drugs/programs/odb/opdp_trillium.aspx Good luck and enjoy life, one day at a time!
I have a friend who is o+ and willing to donate! However She lives in California. How can we check her here to find out if she is a match.
Thank you Katherine for posting the LHCS website! It is unfortunately not the kidney transplant booklet, it is the live liver donation handbook that you will want to read if you are interested! Http://www.lhsc.on.ca/Patients_Families_Visitors/MOTP/Liver_Transplant/Living_Liver_Donation_Handbook.htm
also here is the direct link to read about the process.... http://www.lhsc.on.ca/Patients_Families_Visitors/MOTP/Kidney_Transplant/LivingKidneyDonationbooklet_2009_FINAL_forweb.pdf
