Veterans Village Land Fund - KCMO

Don protégé
Veterans Chris Stout, Kevin Jamison and Mark Solomon have merged together, after working alongside each other in various organizations, to create Veterans Community Project. This nonprofit will house homeless veterans in tiny houses, aka Veterans Village, in the Kansas City area.
We have recently been given the opportunity to receive 4 acres of land at 89th and Troost from the city of Kansas City. We need donations to show we have the finaces for land prep, which would include; architect, survey, and lot clearing, in order to obtain the property by January 8, 2016.
The land is currenlty a vacant lot with trees. Our intent is to place 36 tiny houses, along with a community building, parking and a community garden.

Our Goals:
1. Connect veterans within the local community in order to meet their needs.
2. Facilitate the veteran community in supporting each other while providing an avenue for the community at large to give back to its veterans.
3. Connect, complement and enhance existing veteran services and housing programs.
4. To help end veteran homelessness in Kansas City.

Every veteran should have a home to come home to.
Making a difference starts with YOU!
