Hi my name is Ashley, and I am setting this campaign up for my AMAZING husband.  He is currently suffering from a muscle tumor on his right hip that has spread into his joint. We have a long road ahead of us, but we are strong.

John is one exceptional man. I first met John on my first tour to Iraq (his second tour). We were both in the United States Army and he happened to be the first person I met when I got to Camp Taji (right outside of Baghdad in 2006). We didn't quite hit it off right away, but as the months went by and we finally got home, he became one of my closest friends.  By the time my second tour to Iraq came around (his third) we pretty much knew we were meant to be.

Fastforward about 8 years and we are very happily married with two of the cutest kiddos you could imagaine. John is a real estate agent and I am a teacher turned stay at home mom to our 2 year old daughter and 1 year old son. With this new twist to our life, John has a hard time walking  and can't be as successful as he wants to be.  This blow to our family has come at a hard time, but has only strengthened our bond and brought us closer.  We are scared at what the future will bring, but know that with our supportive and amazing families, we can make it through anything.

I ask that anything you can donate will help us out at this difficult time. If you can't dontate, just your well wishes,  prayers, and shares will help keep our spirits up. Thank you so much for reading my campaign.

On March 29th 2016 our country lost an AMAZING person. John Marshall was the type of guy that everyone loved. Even if he was correcting you, he did it in a way that was respectful and made you not feel like a total failure.
John is a father of 2 adorable little babies. Riley (named after Fort Riley, the place that brought us together) is 3 and a half. She turns 4 only 3 days after her daddy's birthday. And Colt who is 2 and a half who happens to , yes, be named after a gun. ( I don't know how that happened) He is also an amazing husband. He would always do little things or send special messages just to let me know that he was thinking of me.
John was also the type of guy that touched people even he didn't know them that long. The amount of people that have come from all over to offer condolences has been amazing and overwhelming. I knew John was a great person, but it shouldn't have amazed me as it did that so many other people thought so too.
John was also part of a great family. His mother Danita is what every woman wants in a mother in law. She is loving and kind and such a strong woman and I couldn't have asked for a better grandma bummers for my kiddos. John's dad Mike is a great man. He showed John how to do so many things that John was able to use in our own family. He is a great papa Marshall that my kiddos love. John's sisters Amanda and Leslie have been giving John the motivation that he sometimes needed. They would give advice and the kick in the butt that he needed at the time. His extended family were there when we needed them. Sending love, books(Jess) and that much needed help at the exact time that we needed it.
Then there is my family. These awesome people have been here for me and John since we started this journey. They have skipped school, work, and personal appointments. I can't thank you all enough, Anna, Kyle, Nadia, Keven, Dad, Michael, Mom, Kimmy, Stephy, Anita, and anyone else I forgot.

I know that I fight so many people and things to mention, but I tried my best to honor everything.
Thank you to all. I know John would want me to thank you all for the support of our family.
Thank you and God Bless. ❤️
Love you all! ❤️

We are getting ready to go to Houston on Saturday. We have to find a way to fight this cancer, and MD Anderson Houston is the place to go. Please wish us luck. This fight is getting harder by the day, but through you all and our families, we are still fighting. And fighting hard.
I created these shirts months ago and just wanted to post them again for those who have asked for it. It is another fundraiser for John and it is also a way of showing support. Thank you to everyone who has been so amazing and give your support and your prayers to us during this difficult time. We love you all and thank you all so very much!!

We are about 5 days out from our last hospital stay and John is doing ok. He is still hurting and trying to stay positive. We finally have an appointment with MD Anderson in Houston set up for the end of the month and an appointment with the MD Anderson here is Phoenix. We are also finally getting some calls from the VA and it seems they are finally willing to listen. ( Hopefully this is a good sign of things to come). To all the family, friends, strangers, and just amazing people that have helped us through our journey, we are so very grateful. You have made out journey possible as we sit down and look at everything on our to- do list. We can't thank you all enough. It has been overwhelming and you all make it seem more possible. Thank you all so much for your suggestions and connections. We are grateful and so very blessed to have so many people thinking and praying for our little family. Thank you and love you all! ❤️
