VETERAN'S MONUMENT DESTROYED

My name is Shirley, and I am the Chairman of the Board to the Lamky, Luther, Whitehead Veterans' Memorial. The LLWV Memorial has 12 huge marble stone monuments that hold the names of 150 Heroes who were Killed In Action, and over 600 names of Heroes who Honorably Served in WW I, WW II, Korea, VietNam, Iraq, and Afghanistan from our community.
Last month, a horrible storm was so strong and severe that it was able to blow over one of the monuments and the stone was broken. The names of over 140 Heroes who Honorably Served was on that particular stone. Unfortunately the Memorial was not insured.
It is beyond devastating to see such damage to something that is so meaningful to the families of these Heroes. So many families and friends find solace on this Hallowed Ground. We are trying desperately to have this stone replaced, along with every Heroes' name engraved just as it was before the storm. Can you please help ? Maybe you're a Veteran yourself, maybe a family member of a Hero, or maybe you are a grateful American citizen. But we need your help. We need to fix this and put our Heroes back on this Memorial. If you yourself can't help, can you please share this story ? Our Heroes need your help. Every dollar will help restore this Monument and goes directly to the Memorial. Our goal to have this repaired before Memorial Day may seem out of reach, but we know with your help we can do this.
