Vestments for SSPX Mission in India

Would you please consider helping support the Traditional Catholic Missions (SSPX) of India?  To help promote the Traditional Latin Mass and Catholic Tradition!

Your gift will help provide an SSPX priory in India with a gold, solemn, High Mass vestment set:

chasuble/stole/maniple/burse/chalice veil
dalmatic/stole/maniple  
tunic/maniple  
cope  
humeral veil
tabernacle veil.  

These are used for SPECIAL FEAST DAYS and PONTIFICAL MASSES with a bishop.  Fine EMBROIDERY and embroidered images of Our Lord, Our Lady, etc. will make these vestments very ornate, which Catholics in India traditionally value!

Please also consider that India is one of the POOREST countries of the world. By helping the Fathers with sacred vestments for divine worship (in the traditional Latin Mass), this better frees up their budget for helping the poor.

Fr. Therasian Xavier, SSPX, a native priest of India, and Prior over the SSPX Missions in India, is making this appeal (he is in the second photo above, on the far right;  see his report below).  All donations will be forwarded to the official bank account of the SSPX chapel in Georgia, USA.   Let us know if would like to contact them with questions. 

As the vestments are made, we will post updates with photos and video!  When finished, we will ship them to Fr. Therasian Xavier in India; and he will share a photo with the vestments to verify he received them.

Father will offer a Mass for all donors.  We will provide him a laminated card of donor names.  As a sign of our appreciation, $20+  DONORS' NAMES (or name of a family member, etc.) WILL BE SEWN on the inside/back of the chasuble (main garment worn), so that Father may always pray for you at his Masses--for MANY years to come!

Appeal Report from Fr, Therasian Xavier, SSPX,

The India mission of the SSPX was founded in 1986 in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu in the hot and sunny south of India. The mission is challenging mainly because there is little desire for Catholic tradition among India’s 2 million Catholics (less than 2% of the population). While there remains a great love of Catholic devotions in India, there is a profound ignorance of Catholic doctrine, a faith-destroying degree of inculturation, and a devastating contraceptive mentality among Catholic families.

The main goals of our mission are to form a traditional Catholic “eco-system” around a parish, a school, an orphanage, an old age home and our Mass centers (so that Catholic families and vocations may grow within a truly Catholic environment) and to reach out to all Catholics by way of the media apostolate (printed, email, website, CDs, DVDs).

The mission runs 8 Mass centers with 2 SSPX priests, 3 heroic helper-priests (with an average age of 87). It also looks after a school of 70 pupils, works very closely with an orphanage run by the Consoling Sisters of the Sacred Heart and supports a new pious union of 5 sisters: the Reparation Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The mission demands great faith and a spirit of sacrifice, but there are many consolations for those who work with charity-filled hearts in this sparse, dry vineyard.
