Would you like to help send Verge  to Wacken?

Our band Verge of Umbra has recently won a huge live heavy metal music competition that was held in Guatemala City and, as a result, we will be representing not only our country Belize but all of Central America at the Wacken Open Air Festival 2017 in Germany. It is held annually for the past 26 years and is the largest heavy metal festival in the world having roughly 86,000 attendees each year. The Festival spans for three days and is scheduled for August 3rd to the 5th 2017.

This is as HUGE for our country Belize as seeing our team at the World Cup or  one day witnessing our local Beauty Queen becoming a finalist in Miss Universe.

Belize has the talent; we just need to get out there for the world to see. THIS IS IT!!

 

  In order to raise funds to pay for transport costs to go play at the Wacken Open Air Festival and European Tour, Verge will be having several live show fundraisers. While any effort helps, unfortunately, these fundraisers will surely not generate enough income to meet our goals, so we are humbly asking you to help us.

By our estimate, we will need to raise approximately $15950 USD by June 20th. A deadline is only necessary for the fact of inevitable airfare increase as the travel date approaches. If we have not reached this amount we intended to go fundraising even after the concert.

The funds will be used for:

* Bus Trip from Belize to Guatemala City for Visa application and mandatory biometrics
* Schengen Visa application fees
* 6 plane tickets to Hamburg Germany    (5 band members + camera man)
*Travel Insurance
* European Tour set up fee
* Daily fee for tour manager, backline, van, driver.
