Venezuelan Pianist Gabriel Chakarji's First Album

My name is Gabriel Chakarji and I'm a Venezuelan pianist and composer based in New York City. My journey through my compositions is rooted in social justice and multiculturalism. I get inspiration from the music I grew up listening to, Venezuelan and south american music, and merge it with a New York city Jazz sound. Culture changes, especially with the millions of people that move from one place to other bringing with their traditions with them. Be it by choice or escaping from terrible dictatorship, individuals and families thrive for their lives and the lives of their loved ones when they migrate. I like to reflect on these social phenomena with my music.
I’m excited to announce that I will be recording my first album as a soloist! I’ve been working extensively on this music for the last couple of years and it is definitely ready to be recorded. I had the pleasure to tour this music in Spain last month and there will be two concerts in New York before the recording.
As you might know, expenses for recording an album are very high, our goal is to get $11,000 to cover all of the expenses, including the recording studio, musicians fees, engineering, Mix/Master, album design and online distribution.
