Tonight our beautiful Dana chose to go with the Lord. We don't yet understand his plan for her, but she will make a perfect angel.
The tremendous national and international outpouring of love and support for our daughter and our family during this devastating ordeal is appreciated beyond words.
Although the journey ahead for our family will be unimaginably painful, we now understand we have a family of thousands in the softball community to help us through. We will feel pain and emptiness at the loss of our baby girl, but we won't have to feel it alone.
As we begin the healing process, we thank you all. We will not forget your love, prayers, and support, nor will we ever forget the wonderful memories of our little girl, Dana Housley #21.
Our sincerest prayers and thoughts are going out to the Housley family. We continue to pray for Dana. It's humbling to see our softball community step up the way they have. Today we are not representing a Firecrackers, Batbusters or Athletics jersey. Today we are all rooting for Cal Thunder #21 #prayfordana #calthunder
From Coatesville Pennsylvania, the young ladys of Lady Steel 14 Travel Softball, your sisters in softball, lift you up in prayer, and pray for an amazing and miraculous recovery. God works in amazing ways, and sometimes we dont always agree with his ways, but there is a purpose for all of IT. As a mother, I want you to make a speedy recovery, as a softball mom, I want you to fight like heck and get back on the field, and as a CHRISTIAN, I want you to just know that GOD has you in his arms, and whatever HIS will be in all this, you will continue to live on and be a star to not just your parents, your family, and your team, but too ALL OF US IN YOUR SOFTBALL FAMILY! God Bless you, and your parents!
My prayers for this beautiful young lady. Although I don't know her , I do know what her family is going thru. My daughter had no brain activity and passed away 7 yrs ago. But she lives on in others as I donated her organs to help others. God please place your hands over this family during this most difficult time.
Our hearts have been broken, we have lost a sister, a friend, a daughter. It's hard to understand why such a young life has been lost, we can only imagine the pain that her family and friends are going through. The reason her loss is so powerful is because everyone sees their daughter in Dana. A young beautiful lady with her whole life in front of her. Hug your children a little tighter today, take joy in what they do. Softball parents, remember that we play a game, it needs to be fun for them, it needs to be fun for you, win or a loss, it doesn't matter. Enjoy the time you spend with them. Dana is now with her creator, she fought the good fight, she finished the race, she kept the faith. May her passing serve a purpose, let it be a reminder for all of us to be better people, better parents. May the Almighty comfort the Housley family and her friends. #playwithhonor #playfordana #prayfordana

As a father of a little girl playing softball. I would like to give my deepest sincerest prayers to DANA and her family. God is big and so is she. Keep fighting Dana because you have a big softball family behind you. Cal Thunder # 21 Dana Housley. From my family and my daughter S.I.B.L Fastpitch Black Magic GU-10 Champions Natalia R.
Prayers to Dana and the family from Shippensburg softball. Like Dana, I also play softball and discovered just last year that I had a brain aneurysm (not ruptured, thankfully). It's my worst fear for something like this to happen. Praying for strength and courage during this tough time!
The softball community is a very close, family oriented community. This hits home in so many ways for so many of us. It has been great to see our softball community step up in the time of need for this young lady and her family. For the past few days, it has not mattered who you play for, what number you wear, who you support, we are all playing for and supporting Cal Thunder and all wearing #21. #prayfordana
We heard what happened on Saturday during one of our game breaks. Us parents were all pretty somber the rest of the day. As the Mom of a softball player, I am deeply saddened. As the Mom of 2 daughters, I am heartbroken. Please know that everyone in the softball community is with you Dana, and your family as well. God is sooo good, and he answers prayers....WE ARE PRAYING!!
