VDAY Ottawa

We are proud to be a participant in producing the 2018 benefit production of Eve Ensler’s award-winning play,
“The Vagina Monologues” to raise money and awareness for local organizations that work to stop violence against women and girls.

This past year, over 1000 V-Day benefit events took place, produced by volunteer activists all around the world, educating millions of people about the reality of violence against women and girls both locally and globally. In 2018 the Ottawa production of The Vagina Monologues will be one of thousands of events around the world, channeling their creative energy into making a difference as part of the V-Day Campaign. It is our intention to make Ottawa V-Day 2018 a huge success. This will be possible, in large part, through the assistance and generosity of sponsors.

Part of what makes this event so special is the opportunities it offers to businesses in local communities - to participate in this global movement, to celebrate and honour the women and girls in your life and community, to be part of a collective voice, a voice that refuses to be ignored, a voice that says NO to violence against all women.

We will be donating all profits from our event to our own local organization, The Sexual Assault Support Centre of Ottawa (SASC). Since we hope to donate as much money to this organization as possible, we will need to cover the expenses we will incur in staging such an event (audition space rental, venue cost, printing etc) and still have money left over to donate.
