Supporting Ashley, Lane, & Camden

Donation protected

On Sunday, October 25th, while Ashley was traveling down Highway 58 another vehicle pulled out in front of her. Ashley was unable to stop, colliding into the other vehicle. Ashley's two boys, Lane and Camden, were in the back seat of her SUV.

Ashley was taken by Lifeforce to Erlanger Hosptial where she remains in Trauma ICU. She had surgery the next morning where the surgeons worked to repair the bone damage in both legs. Her right shin bone, heel, and ankle were severly broken in the accident and are now held together by rods. Ashley's left thigh bone was also broken, which is the toughest bone in the entire human body to break. Her hip was also fractured and is now repaired. She has non weight baring rods that are placed in her legs, for three months. Ashley will undergo scans in the next day or so to check the damage to her aorta where lacerations were found, as well as her liver, to see if surgery is needed in the future.

Camden and Lane both went through exploratory surgeries to repair damage to their upper and lower intestines where internal bleeding was found. Camden has a skull fracture that affected his ability to move his left hand, but he has made huge improvements with his movements since the accident. Lane also suffered from broken ribs and a fractured collar bone. Camden has fractures in #6 and #7 vertebrates.

As of today, the day after the accident, Lane has been able to come out of his neck brace and his catheter has been removed. He is still in a lot of pain, both boys are as anyone can imagine. Camden had an MRI and MRA earlier and the results should be in at any time.

Throughout all of this, Ashley is not aware of the boys injuries. Ashley's body has gone through so much trauma and her doctor's are afraid that she will not be able to handle the stress of reality. She has asked about them several times and she just wants to make sure they can play football. If you know Ashley, you know she loves her boys and watching them play football.

Ashley will not be able to care for herself for several months, nor will she be able to work. Providing for herself, or her boys, will not be possible. I am sure that any help, love, and prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Be thankful for another day. You're blessed to be alive. Life is so, so precious.
