 FORT COLLINS, CO
Spencer was a kind hearted little 11 year boy who was full of life.  There are no words to describe how sad we are to have to say goodbye to him so soon.  No family should ever have to bury their child.  Spence has a brother and sister who will miss him terribly for the rest of their lives.  This is going to be a very hard holiday season for the entire family.  I just don't know how we are going to get through this.
We would like to honor Spencer in the only way we know how.  Please help if you can.  I am asking for donations to help pay for his medical expenses and funeral costs.  It's such a blessing to live in the community of Fort Collins with such loving people.  I think together we can help the Avery family through this tragedy.

Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

I am trying to figure out this site and how to personally thank each person. I am truly sorry. I cannot figure it out. I wanted to thank each and every person individually. But I just can't. Please know that every single person who has donated and thought of or prayed for the family is very much appreciated. There are no words for your kindness. I thought I would have this well planned out thank you to you all, but I just don't. My heart still aches for them and I don't know what to say. You all show how much Spence was loved and how much you care for people. God bless you all. God bless the Avery family. Thank you.

Spencer's family would like to update you all. This is from them. " We will be having a funeral service for Spencer Avery on Tuesday December 1st at 3:30 p.m. at Vintage City Church and there will be a viewing at Goes Funeral Home from 12:00 to 2:00pm. Please pass this along and share so it may get to those who would like to attend."

I want to again thank you all for your kindness and generosity to the family. In a time like this there seems there is nothing we can do. It is my hope that we can lessen the burden for them. Nothing can lessen the burden of sorrow but we can certainly make things easier financially. It's so hard to know what to write and how to express gratitude to you all. Please know that you have all been a blessing. I pray the Lord gives me the right words to say. Spencer is loved more than he knows here on Earth, but he knows the love of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and he is in His arms right now, which is more than any of us can fathom.
I wanted to share thoughts from his Mom and Dad during this holiday. From Mom, "No matter what happens in life there is always something to be thankful for. Today I am thankful for my heavenly Father and His incredible love. He has given us amazing friends and family who love us just for us. They have blessed us more than we cam express. Thank you all and Glory be to Jesus."
From Dad, "On this day I'm thankful that even in the midst of loss there are still things to be thankful for. Our Savior who never leaves our side and who understands our pain. Friends and family who stand beside us and walk through this with us. The honor it was to parent our little guy for the time he was with us. And the fact that now he is safely home in his Heavenly Fathers loving arms. I pray nobody ever has to go through anything like this, but know if you do, you have our utmost prayers, sympathy, and respect and a shoulder to cry on. We love you all."
With that, I pray you all have a blessed weekend with family and friends. Praise be to our Lord and Savior.
