The last several weeks have been a living nightmare for Stephanie Rivers. On May 1st her husband was arrested for serious crimes involving the abuse of children. Days later, Stephanie discovered that several thousand dollars from the store they own is missing.  The account was overdrawn by 1k and there are 25k worth of bills.  At the same time her car is broken down and she needs a new vehicle.  There are also immediate housing repairs that need to be made.  Stephanie, now a single mom, is under serious financial stress and desperately needs help. She needs to raise 25k in the next week to cover a variety of expenses. Every penny will be used for Stephanie and the kids.  Will you help?

Hello Folks. Thank you for your support since May for Stephanie and her children. She has been a real trooper in an unbearable situation, working up to 70 hours a week, trying to keep her store open so that she can have a livelihood for herself and her children.. We are trying to raise 10,000 in the next two months in order to keep them going. Please read the updated blogpost for details on what she needs and how you can help, but most importantly, pray, pray pray for healing. And may God bless you in all you do. http://thesweetnessofhome.blogspot.com/

Stephanie has worked her tail off since May to keep the doors of her store, the livelihood of herself and her five children, open often working 12-14 hour days. As time goes by, newly discovered outstanding debt owed to vendors keeps coming to light. Since she agreed to take on all the business and personal debts, she is desperately trying to keep the store going and avoid filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy, to which she would lose the business and their home. She has been trying to work out payment plans with all the vendors of debt owed, but has been turned down for refinancing of loans. We are trying to raise $50,000 by mid January to pay off business and personal debts (back taxes, vendor debt, hospital bills, house furnace). Without these funds she will have to close the store, which is her main means to support her family.

Thank you to all who have donated this far. We are almost 1/5 of the way to our goal. I am including this link to Stephanie's blogpost so that you can read more in depth about what she is going through in order to pray more specifically for her. Let us storm heaven for her and help her concretely so that she can support her family through this terrible time. May the Lord Bless you and keep you, make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. The Lord lift up His kindness upon you and give you His peace. Amen.
