Dixie's unexpected vet bills

Dixie is my daughter's chihuahua.  Last Friday night she didn't want to come into the house and my daughter works nights,so her fiancée figured she would come in when Alyssa got home.  Alyssa didn't know Dixie wasn't in the house until the next morning and she realized she was missing.  They searched and could not find her.  Sunday morning Alyssa saw Dixie in the yard and when she called her she couldn't get to Alyssa.  Alyssa went to her and saw that she had a bone sticking out of her right back leg.  She found an emergency vet in Rice Lake, Wi -Rice Lake Animal Hospital 101 E South St [phone redacted].  So she has a broken right leg and she broke all her toes and paw on her left leg.  They did surgery yesterday, but she will need to go back next week for a cast on her left paw.  Vet thinks she was hit by a car.  I have given money to help pay and Alyssa did get approved for a portion, but the expenses are going to be beyond what she can afford.  The vet said Dixie's paw because of the toes being broken and dislocated it's going to be hard to heal and could potentially result in amputation.  We don't like asking for help, but Alyssa works full time and is a full time student with a little baby.  She didn't qualify for financial aid for school, so she is paying out of pocket for that.  Otherwise she could probably swing this.  Please help Dixie Doodle Bug!
