Help Matt Tackle Leukemia
Just days ago Matt was your typical teenage boy; hanging out with his friends, preparing for final exams, looking forward to his upcoming graduation ceremony and a summer to remember before starting college. All of that changed suddenly when he was diagnosed with AML Leukemia.
Matt is a great big brother, makes friends wherever he goes and has a remarkable sense of humor...he already has the nurses laughing. He is a tough athlete and a fighter. We all know that he can fight this disease and win.
There is an old adage " when it rains, it pours." Matt's mom Kim found out not long ago that she would be losing her job of 15+ years as of May 15, 2015. Matt was formally diagnosed on May 18th. While Kim now has the opportunity to be at Matt's bedside, the loss of income combined with the onslaught of recent medical bills is a financial and emotional drain on the family.
We are looking for the rainbow at the end of this storm...we ask for prayers of comfort and strength and that you please consider helping us to provide this family with some financial assistance so that they can devote their energies to helping heal Matt and to supporting their other children, 16 year old Jack and 10 year old Sami.
Those of you who know Kim & Ryan or the Markovich/Thomas families know that they are always there to lend a helping hand to others, to step up when needed.
