Help Sabrina
Donation protected
Sabrina is 8 months old and has spent most of her life living a a stray. She would sleep up a tree to be out of the way of foxes at night. Gateshead Cats Protection was contacted by a concerned resident when she realised the stray cat was pregnant and things appeared to be going wrong. Sabrina was picked up and taken to a vet, tests showed she had 3 large kittens inside her and all appeared dead due to her uterus not being fully formed.
Sabrina had to undergo an emergency operation to remove everything. It was also noticed that Sabrina appeared to have a bad leg so an X Ray was done and it turns out she has an old facture of her pelvis which has not healed correctly. She is in constant pain and has been put on pain medication, she is in need of a big operation to remove her hip joint. She is on constant bed rest for a week to get over her emergency surgery and then will need to have lots of excercise to try and build up the muscle that she will need to walk on when her hip joint is removed . This surgery is going to be costly and as we run on donations and volunteers we are asking for help . Anything raised over the final bill (if reached) will be used towards vet bills for other cats in our care
The Cats Protection Gateshead & District Branch is self-funded and run by unpaid volunteers. This means that without the support and kindness of people like you, we would not be able to afford to carry out our work.
