My name is Anya, and I am a fellow artist and friend of Escaron(Linda). We have been online friends for quite awhile, and we have since gained each other’s trust. I decided to help get this fund started with her because she has been nothing but kind and supportive of my work and so many others. She works tirelessly to support her family and somehow manages to create incredible art whilst supporting other artists. She is not one to ask for help from anyone, prepared to do everything on her own, but her living situation has gotten to a point even she and her family can't work their way out of it. They have come to their wits end and this is her desperate plea to the community. It is our chance to give back and help her. I know many of you do not have much extra to give, but any amount helps. Just do what you can because as I'm sure we can all agree, it hurts to see a friend go through such unbearable tribulations.

Hi, my name is Linda. I live with my parents and sister. I want to try raising money to save my family, especially my parents, from the situation we are stuck in. It's very urgent.
My family is poor, my mom was in a bus accident when she was 30 and has since then not been able to work because her body is completely broken. My dad is 73 years old and retired. I have a rare eye ”disease” called Visual Snow that doctors can't pinpoint and it makes me unable to function as a normal, healthy person. I always see a filter of static before my vision and every time I strain my eyes mentally or physically I go blind for a while. Because of this I can't have a full-time job, I can only by willpower manage part-time, and every day after work I collapse and lose my sight. But since doctors can’t find the fault I am healthy on paper, and a healthy person won't get any kind of support. I'm completely out of the system. What more my sis has it too, not as bad we believe but bad enough.
Our house is isolated in the middle of a forest, the nearest village 20 minutes away by car. The house is over 100 years old and breaking apart, it is getting worse and worse by the day but we can't afford to repair it. Last summer we were out of water for 3 months because our well dried out. 2 years ago we lost our electricity for 2 weeks in the middle of cold winter because the power lines broke in a snowstorm, and this happens regularly. Another issue is that we live right by the railroad, the train drives past just behind our house (merely 3 meters - 9 feet away) and we highly believe that the electric field is affecting us. Our animals have all suffered very rare and serious health problems, every time we take one of them to the vet they tell us it´s such a rare problem that it can not happen again, no worries, yet it continues to happen over and over and the veterinarians just shake their heads. The even strager thing is that my family suffer similar symptoms and my sis who lives in the room next to the railroad has big issues with sleeping, and our family falls ill almost all the time. There is no proof but we all, and many with us suspect that the railroad somehow is disturbing our health, that it is dangerous. And on top of it all the house needs to be run by hand. To warm the systems up my dad needs to heat it with firewood 2 – 3 times every day. To get the firewood he needs to cut down trees every spring and fall. It is extremely heavy work and takes months to complete, and he is too old to do it, but there is no other way.
This summer my biggest fear came true, my dad got a stroke and had to go to the emergency. He is ”better” now but far from well, he cant walk good and completely looses his balance continuously so that he falls or hits walls. He fell down the stairs just recently. Doctors have told him he can't strain himself anymore, he must stop working so hard, but that's impossible – our home can't run without it and there is always something that needs repairing.
We need to get out of his house and fast, but we can't afford to move. We aren't allowed a bank loan to do so, we don't earn enough and we already have a huge mortgage on our house because we had no other option for our living to go around.
For years we have tried our hardest to raise money in any possible way to be able to move but they have all failed and new expenses and problems arise all the time. We try to sell our things, we have sold our pets. We try to repair the house all by ourselves so that we can sell it, but we can't manage on our own, it's too much, too heavy and costly work and my parents are too old and unhealthy. My mom is so stressed that her body started to fail and we’ve had to drive her to the emergency 3 times this December due to dangerously high pressure in her eyes that could cause her to go blind. We are stuck here and I can't stop thinking of what will happen when my dad can't work anymore, can't run the house or drive the car, when he one day falls and cant get up. Or if he gets another stroke, or worse and there´s no way to keep the house functional.
We used to be such a happy family, we’ve always been very tight, doing almost everything together. We didn’t care about being poor as long as we had each other. But when everything started to go downhill it became tougher and tougher to stay positive, everyone lost their happiness, the stress made us drift further apart for every passing day. Today none of us can even remember how it was to be happy. All our waking hours go to surviving, trying to save ourselves from this situation, and arguing - because we are all so stressed out, scared and worried. The social deprivation is also eating away on us. The situation is getting out of hand and that is why I now feel I have no other option than to ask for your help.
Right now when Im writing this I sit by candle light in a ice cold house under two blankets, 2 nights ago our water pipes froze due to the cold weather and when we tried to heat them up with a pump our electricity broke but for one outlet and its so severe that we cant fix it ourselves, its minus 19 degrees Celsius outside and really cold inside. We have no water, no light, no warmth, and fixing this will cost a lot of money that we don’t have, another hit to our already extremely tough situation. We have called for a electrician since we cant live like this, but where to get the money to pay the bill I don’t even dare think about.
Please help save my family. help us raise money to get out of here, to a home that can run on it's own and won't break apart all the time. To a place near stores, hospital, and social life and with no dangerous electrical fields from railroads. To a place my parents are allowed to be retired and there's no fear for the future for us.
The money will go to different goals depending on how much we manage to raise. Even if we cant reach the top, cause I know how insanely much money that is, but even if we dont even reach to a 10th of that amount any and every little donation means the world to us and will relieve a lot of stress.

$5900 - Help to move
If we raise this much we will be able to hire people with trucks to help us move, we won’t have to carry all furniture and things ourselves and drive back and forth to get it all out. This will especially save my parents from lots of heavy lifting. The move firm will carry and drive our things to the new place.
$29 500 - Repair the house
If we raise this much we can hire help to repair the house for the sale. Lots of things in our home are broken, damaged and old. The windows are moulding, so is the bathroom, the floor is sinking in the kitchen, we have holes in the floor in the hallway where rats get in, electricity is malfunctioning in some rooms, moisture-swelled doors can’t be shut properly and we have rusted waterpipes. With help and money it can finally be fixed.
$123 500 - Buy an apartment
If we raise this much we can get an apartment! Someplace near stores and hospitals, a place that doesn’t need to be worked so hard. A place my parents can finally relax. No more worry about failing electricity or well drying up, or house needing to be heated 3 times a day.

If we manage this goal we can buy a new , finished house with municipal water and heat! A place we all can fit with a little yard in which my mom can do her gardening (mom loves flowers). We can pick a good location in a town or village, near everything that is needed, no more 20 minutes car drive to get to civilisation. No more worry about dad working himself to death managing the house or repairing all the time. No more worry about electricity failing or water drying up. It would be our dream come true! And I would be the happiest person on this earth.
