Save the Donut King

Lou King has worked at this location since the original donut shop "Mister Donut", he continued to work there , was drafted went to Vietnam and was wounded there . When he came back to the states, he went back to Mister Donut and became the manager. A few years later he became the owner. Not long after that, Mister Donut Corp went out of business and the shop owners were on their own. Lou changed the name to Donut King and contuined the business until now. The developer who owns this parcel is demolishing all three buildings and opening different businesses. Please note that Lou has worked here his whole life. Going to a new location is totally possible if he had enough money. Also note that a new grease trap in West Des Moines Iowa is up to 100,000.00, money he just doesn't have. There are thousands of people who know and love Lou and his donuts losing this landmark is bad enough but not having the Donut King is just too much to lose.
