EcoTourism 2 stop poaching/poverty

Peace for Conservation is a Non-Profit Organization that is based in Tanzania. It is an organization that hopes to fight local poaching and poverty through education, conservation, and responsible Eco-Tourism.
We are raising money to expand our program. Our goal is to bring Graduate Students from USF in to assist us with setting up micro-grids for solar power as well as biogas generators. This will allow the villagers to have electricity as well as clean drinking water.
We are also hoping to expand our local economic programs by renting housing space for visitors to stay in. The housing will be taken care of by local women who are in need of work. It will also serve as a cultural center for them to share their stories and sell their crafts to visitors.
We also hope to expand our sustainable tourism program to employ trained locals as tour guides. This will give the locals a better source of income than poaching. We hope this will allow us to educate them on the principle that more money can be made by showing your natural wonders to guests than by slaughtering innocent wild-life.
The money will be used to rent housing space, train locals, purchase equipment and vehicles, as well as food and other suplies. We can use the funds as soon as you can provide them.
This project means everything to us. We hope to serve as a shining example of how sustainability can transform a small local town from poverty to success. We wish to build a fully sustainable community that will meet the guidelines of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. This project plans to be fully "Green" from beginning to end.
Unlike other programs that wish you to donate funds that go straight into the pockets of the managers, your donations will go to educating and training the local villagers to pull themselves up out of poverty. This is not a charity case, this is the beginning of a program that can be an example to all of Africa as well as other developing countries.
