Logan Pflibsen's Pole Vault Journey

Donation protected

I'm Tori Pflibsen, big sister to the one and only Logan Pflibsen. My brother is pretty cool. Cool brother Logan is an All American polevaulter, and an impressive one at that. Impressive not only in his skill but his drive, his determination, and the thing that is the most impressive to me, his ability to be a humble gentleman at every meet he's ever been a part of.  (I can't even talk about him without bragging, so I'm not really sure how he can be this awesome all the time and not wanna brag it up.)

Logan and his awesome, not very humble, sister.

Logan went to school at The University of New Mexico in ABQ. He graduated this past year and has decided to stay a million miles away from his sister in ABQ for one final year to work, train, and make our mom and dad cry 'cause they're stuck with me a lot. His goal this year is qualifying for the 2016 Olympic Trials. Yeah. The Olympics.

Logan is one of the hardest working people I've ever met. Now, I'm sure you've heard people described this way every day, but listen, he truly is. He's dedicated beyond belief, and doesn't let anyone or anything slow him down. He's incredibly kind + gives everyone he meets the benefit of the doubt. He's appreciative, funny, smart and just all around a great guy. I wanna be Logan when I grow up.

He's always been completely dedicated to training and although his strides have always been large, he recently has been vaulting to great new (and incredibly scary) heights. To qualify for Olympic Trials he must reach a new Personal Record of 18" 6.5'. Not only must he train daily, increase his workout routine and have a strict diet (none of which bothers him), he must pay for all of the new expenses himself. College allowed him free travel, free entry to meets, free training, free healthcare and free equipment. Competing unnattached means he foots the bill for all of this. Your generous donation of any amount allows him to afford travel, new poles, new shoes, entry to meets (some of which cost upwards of $100), meals while traveling, gym memberships, healthcare and hundreds of other things.
As Logan's big sister and number one cheerleader, there's not a lot that I can do for him from Illinois, but starting this makes me a feel a little better and let's him know you're cheering him on right along with me. He obviously means the world to me, and your donation would mean the world to him. He's a kid that deserves this opportunity and would do whatever it takes to get there and make everyone proud.

Check out the website he put together here , and if you'd like a copy of his portfolio book we created, let me know! Thanks for your support and your time, I know I'm quite the rambler.
