Triggers Cricket Club (TCC) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization with motive to bring our community together in Houston through Cricket. TCC was formed in 2005, since then have been providing platform for cricketing activities in great Houston area. The game of cricket is a sport ingrains team spirit and develops camaraderie among players.
In recently concluded TCCL Premier league event, Commissioner R. Jack Cagle of Harris County, Precinct 4 pledge to support additional development of cricket facilities at the Matzke park and in other areas of Harris County precinct 4.
As a 2017 initiative to keep up with growth and popularity of the sport in greater Houston area among youth and young adults, we have plans to upgrade the Matzke ground facilities to support more cricket activities focused on youth. Plans include
1. Installation of additional nets for practice
2. Flood lights to encourage playing youth cricket for longer hours during evening and around the year.
3. Power sockets to help run professional bowling machines
We are looking to raise $25,000 to support additional upgrades to Matzke ground.
Truly, these plans are a game changer and catalyst in enhancing and transforming our youth and communities at large. This means our youth (boys and girls) during their formative years can learn and practice the great sport of cricket professionally and develop team spirit and camaraderie skills. Our community is represented by rich cultural diversity with people from several backgrounds taking the ownership in conducting and managing various TCC programs around the year.
