Help me Learn Sign Language (ASL)

My name is Christine Begin. I am a Worcester County Local Artist. I am always on the lookout for new ways to deepen my understanding of what it means to be human. Each individual is different and I love to celebrate this beautiful fact of life. The best way to celebrate differences is to educate oneself about these differences. I have encountered situations at each of my occupations where knowing sign language would have been helpful. I am glad to find this wonderful opportunity.

I have always been drawn to American Sign Language, but I have never had a chance to get to learn more about it in a classroom setting, Until Now!! Currently I know some basics of the language, i.e. the alphabet, and some numbers, and other signs. This course would help to deepen my understanding of ASL and especially the deaf community and those effected with hearing loss.

With your help, I will be able to attend this class and further expand my understanding of American Sign Language. 

I am hoping to raise $300 to assist with the cost of the class, travel expenses, and class supplies. The class begins on Thursday February 25, 2016.
