University of New Orleans Robotics

Our story begins in the Spring of 2015 when the University of New Orleans hosted its first IEEE robotics competition. Dr. Gray needed to demonstrate that the challenge he designed could be completed, and so he recruited a group of freshmen to build a robot. Inspired by this project, that group of freshmen went on to found a club and compete in robotics competitions each year. Two years ago, one of our teams placed 1st in the IEEE's Region 5 Robotics Competition; and, just last year, we placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 8th, and 10th out of more than 30 schools in Austin, TX.

This coming April, we want to send 6 teams to that same competition in Lafayette, LA. The money raised by this campaign will be used to buy parts and to pay for the teams' registration fees.
