Unjust Eviction! My Boyfriend Needs Help!
Introduction
Scrooge is alive and well in Rome Georgia! Hello everyone, my name’s Cory and I'm here to help out my boyfriend Shayne and his mother. Recently he was given an eviction notice by a very shady, rude and fraudulent rental company. These people have been very nasty and horrible to them and a good chunk of the people renting from them, using sneaky and underhanded tactics to get money.
How Bad it’s Been for Them
It's been a nightmare for this small family in this new place. A few years ago the bank undermined his late father's home and foreclosed it, leaving them to find a place in a hurry and they had to go with this company as a last resort. They have had to deal with some terrible neighbors, the previous tenant in the other duplex over was a meth maker, and the land lords refused to investigate. They were only thrown out when the apartment was raided and they were arrested. The fumes from it were really bad, and his mother has COPD and has bad breathing problem. Oh and speaking of lung problems, they are being kicked out in the dead of winter where her breathing is the worst.
There's no shortage of drug addicts in the area, the police won't even go to this area half the time cause of how bad it is and they know that people carry weapons there. Plus the house is located 50 yards from a set of busy train tracks, locomotives go by at all times of the day even late at night, roughly every 30 to 60 minutes.
Not to mention its rough for a Jewish family to live in the southern belt. I’ve been told that just because he was born with this heritage he was going to burn in hell. So not only do they have to contend with the normal woes of being very poor, but antisemitic bully's in an age where their getting braver about voicing their opinions.
Why they Need the Money
He has until 01/14/19 to leave the premise without any other place to go, and by Georgia law they can evict them for no reason so long as they give them notice. Currently hes going to college and does not have a job, the only form of income the family gets is through the Mom from her disability and being a widow. They can barely afford food as it is and now with this there gonna need money to move all there stuff to a new place as well as make down payments on a new apartment. All the while trying to even FIND a place to live while Shayne has classes. Shayne aspires to be a broad way singer and he has a cute voice to listen too, he grew up with music and singing and hopes to one day make it his job.
What You Can do to Help
Donating is not the only way you can help! I understand in this day and age a lot of people have a tight budget. So even if you can't donate anything than try the next best thing, sharing this fundraiser with others. If word gets around and you keep sharing, than eventually people who can help will eventually come across it. Every dollar helps.
Streaming for a Cause
We we'll be holding streaming in the weeks to come, both me and Shayne will be playing games and watching shows to help raise the funds. Things like Binding of Isaac, Marbles on Stream, Beat Saber, and games that donators recommend. We'll also be watching recommend shows to donators.
