Nepal Earthquake Relief

Hello everyone, recently an enormous earthquake of 7.9 has struck the country of Nepal. My sister (Kshitij Neupane) and I are trying to raise money for those who were not as fortunate as us. My family is from Nepal and we were been born there and having to see all these familiar sites crumble down is heartbreaking. And to see the struggle in the remote villages where, still, little to no help has reahced, is a cry out for help we cannot ignore.
All three of the main cities (Chetwan, Pokhara, and Kathmandu) have been hit severly. The roads are separated or cracked and unusable therefore the medical personnels cannot reach the victims. Not only that, but Nepal's already limited resources are being strechted and the aftershocks (already over 20) are becomning too much for the small country to handle. The epicenter of this quake is believed to be Lamjung, Nepal. The town is believed to "no longer exist" due to the effects of the quake. There have been over 700 deaths already reported within just a few hours, and we can expect a lot more casualities and deaths to come our way. Those who are still alive no longer have a roof over their heads nor do they have supplies available to them. Help us in this effort to raise money and supply food, water, clothes, and medical necessties.
All of the money will go straight to those in need. Especially to those who are in the remote villages where the most damage has occured and where the least amount of aid has gone; partially due to road and weather conditions. We are planning on making water accessible in the villages again as most of the current water supply methods have been destroyed. Of course to help rebuild the houses and provide shelter is a big priority too.
They are also in dire need of medicinal supplies such as:
- Standard sterile
- unsterile wound care products
-syringes
And other supplies such as:
-Surgical Gloves
-Two - way radio
- Batteries (AA, AAA OR 9 Volts)
- Whistle
- Duct tape
-Disinfectant wipes
-Digital Thermometer
-ADC ADSafe CPR Pocket Resusitator
- Ice or hot packs for therapy
-Clothing
-Shoes
-Blankets
-Sleeeping Bags
-Rain gear or Ponchos
- Dry or Canned Food
So we will be collecting donations for any of these items if you live near us and can drop it off. Otherwise we are planning on buying some of the supplies depending on each item's demand in Nepal.
We have a lot of contact with people in Nepal, and some even in the epicenter. So as we get more updates from them regarding what the people need we will try to manage our funds in accordance to that. And all of how we spend the money or possible options that we have recieved information about will be posted on here to let you know where you money is exactly going.
