On February 5, 2019, after a complicated high risk pregnancy, my daughter Jaimie-Lee and her partner Lisa welcomed their beautiful baby daughter River into the world prematurely. Tragically after a short but incredibly tough fight Lisa and Jaimie-Lee with the love and guidance of Rivers incredible doctor, made the heartbreaking decision to let their sweet tiny daughter go.
River lived and fought her absolute hardest, until the morning of February 6, 2019, when she took her last breath while cuddling in bed with her Mum’s. It was the first and last time they would get to hold their baby in their arms while she was alive.
Lisa and Jaimie-Lee are suffering the most heartbreaking grief imaginable, and have decided to sell their possessions to fund the purchase of a small campervan so they can travel and spend some time alone to process their grief and come to terms with the enormity of losing their beautiful daughter River.
Lisa and Jaimie-Lee have been unable to work since November last year, Lisa due to her high risk pregnancy carrying River, and Jaimie-Lee due to having surgery, and I am hoping that together we can help them with financial support in their time of intense grief and sadness, to have the time and space they need to grieve the loss of River.
