Tragic Death of a Beloved Son

On the morning of Wednesday April 10th, 2019, our dear friend and coworker Elizabeth Mendoza lost her son, Erik Mendoza. Erik was working on a construction site and fell 13 floors. He was rushed to the hospital, but it was too late, he had died on impact. Erik was a beloved son and father. He leaves behind a 5-year-old son in Puebla, Mexico, two siblings, and his mother (among other friends and family).
Erik's funeral will be Monday, April 14th at 4pm-10pm at Rivera Funeral Home (10402 37th Ave). All are welcome to come celebrate his life and lend their support to the Mendoza family. The following day, Erik's body will be flown to Mexico to rest in peace.
We're raising money to help support Erik's son and to help Elizabeth cover the expenses for the funeral and returning Erik to Mexico.
Elizabeth is one of the sweetest and most hardworking people you will ever meet. Our hearts are breaking with hers as she endures this hard time. We love her endlessly and hope that these efforts will bring her some comfort in the coming months.

Hola a todos - en la mañana del 10 de abril, nuestra amiga perdió su hijo, Erik Mendoza. Erik trabajaba en un sitio de construción y cayó en un edificio de 13 pisos y murió. Erik fue una persona muy querida por muchas personas, fue un joven muy trabajador y era padre de un niño de casí cinco años y era un buen hijo que cuidaba mucho de su madre. La mama de Erik es una mujer muy trabajadora y muy responsable y amable. Le amamos con todas de nuestras corazones y esperamos que estos esfuerzos le traiga un poco de tranquilidad.
Se esta llevando a acabo una recolecta para la familia de nuestro paisano mexicano para ayudar a su familia con los gastos de su repatriacion al Estado Puebla, Mexico.
