Get Rose Healthy

Donation protected

This is Rose. She's a 7-8 year old rescue that I (Patty) adopted from the Humane Society of Dane County nearly five years ago when I moved out of my parents house. She's been my best friend and the first one to cuddle me when I need it and even when I don't. :) She is basically my kid and anyone who has a pet knows how similar it feels to a child when they get sick.

About a month ago, I took Rose in to the vet because something was wrong with her paw. They decided it was a minor infection and gave me pain killers and antibiotics. She weighed about 6 lbs.
Two weeks later, she had stopped eating solid food altogether and even though I was feeding her soft food, it wasn't enough. She had a mild seizure and I took her in right away the next morning.
At this point she had lost 2lbs, bringing her to 4lbs, and was severely dehydrated. They gave her fluids and had her eat some high calorie food. They found a legion on the roof of her mouth which they figured was why she wasn't eating. Xrays were suggested but they were far outside my budget, so we did bloodwork instead. It came back clean so, it appeared that all she needed was rest, food, and water. I was in the process of moving back to my parents so, I brought her there to rest and not deal with the stress of packing.
It's been about a week and a half and the fund picture is what she looks like now. We are having to force feed her food and water. She is having significant trouble walking and is in obvious pain when you mess with her back legs too much. She has lost more weight and refuses to move much except for laying on her bed. The towels are because she hasn't been getting up to go to the litter box.

This fund is for her medical bills. We are seeing the vet on Monday (Feb 1st) and we are guessing they will suggest xrays of her mouth and her legs. Those alone are very expensive and who knows what else they might want to do. She is a young cat and there is a good chance she can pull through this with the proper medical care.

As for why I need help, this is an extremely unexpected expense. I work a full-time job but I'm still living paycheck to paycheck as most 24 year olds are. My parents are disabled and can barely afford to help support themselves, much less me and Rose.

Helping us would mean helping to save a life, and thats what it really comes down to. Please help save my girl.
