Mon mari et moi avons fait la connaissance du jeune Afghan Khairollah Alemi en février 2018 quand mon amie d’enfance Cathy Raphoz-David nous l’a présenté. Il a maintenant 21 ans et il est notre ami.
Khairollah a fuit son pays à l’âge de 11 ans quand ses parents ont été tués dans un attentat, laissant son petit frère Faisollah, 7 ans chez des voisins avec la promesse de venir le chercher un jour. S’en est suivi un terrible chemin d’exil de 4 années pour cet enfant de seulement 11 ans. En 2013, il est arrivé par hasard en France où il a été accueilli dans un foyer, a pu apprendre le français et un métier (CAP en maintenance bâtiment). Il travaille maintenant comme technicien à l’ISETA, l’école où il a fait sa formation.
Khairollah a pû retourner deux fois en Afghanistan pour voir et aider son frère mais les chances de le sortir de là sont faibles car Faisollah n’a pas de passeport et l’administration à Kaboul n’en délivre pas. La vie pour la population afghane est plus difficile aujourd’hui qu’en 2013 quand Khairollah a fuit. J’aimerai l’aider à trouver des fonds pour payer le billet d’avion qui lui permet d’aller voir son frère cet été. Le SMIG qu’il gagne suffit à peine pour payer son logement social et ses factures, alors payer un billet d’avion devient lui très difficile.

In February 2018 my school friend Cathy Raphoz-David introduced my husband and me to Khairollah Alemi, a young Afghan refugee who is now 21 years old and our friend.
Khairollah fled his country at the age of 11 when both his parents were killed by a bomb. He left Faisollah, his 7-year-old brother with his neighbours promising to come and get him one day. What followed was a long and terrible exile of 4 years for this 11-year-old child. In 2013 he arrived in France, where he was welcomed into supported lodging, could learn French and get a job (he has a diploma as a technician in building maintenance). He now works as a technician in the school where he was trained (ISETA).
Khairollah has returned twice to see and help his brother in Afghanistan, but the chances of getting him out are very small as Faisollah has no passport and the administration in Kabul are not giving any. Life for the Afghan population is worse now than in 2009 when Khairollah fled. I would like to help Khairollah find the money to buy a plane ticket to visit his brother this summer. The minimum wage he earns is not hardly enough to pay his rent and his bills, let alone to buy a ticket to Afghanistan.

Mein Mann und ich lernten Khairollah Alemi durch meine Jugendfreundin Cathy Raphoz- David, im Februar 2018 kennen. Er ist jetzt 21 Jahre alt und inzwischen ein Freund unserer Familie geworden.
Khairollah ist mit 11 Jahren aus Afghanistan geflüchtet als seine Eltern bei einem Attentat starben. Sein jüngerer Bruder Faisollah war gerade 7 Jahre alt und ist infolgedessen bei Nachbarn untergekommen. Khairollah versprach ihm, ihn eines Tages dort abzuholen. Es folgten 4 schreckliche Exiljahre.
2013 kam Khairollah zufällig nach Frankreich, lebte in einem Heim, lernte Französisch und machte eine Ausbildung als Handwerker in der Braubranche. Heute arbeitet er als Techniker bei der ISETA, die Schule in der er seine Ausbildung machte.
Er war zwei Mal in Afghanistan um seinen Bruder zu besuchen und ihm zu helfen aber die Chancen ihn raus zu bekommen sind gering da er keinen Pass hat und die Verwaltung in Kabul keine Pässe ausliefert.
Das Leben in Afghanistan ist heute noch schwieriger als im Jahre 2013 als Khairollah geflüchtet ist. Ich möchte ihm helfen damit er auch diesen Sommer seinen Bruder besuchen kann. Er verdient einen Mindestlohn, der kaum ausreicht seine Miete und Rechnungen zu zahlen. Ein Flugticket ist ausgesprochen schwierig.
