Grand View University Education Club is partnering with Cattell Elementary! Cattell Elementary is a block away from Grand View University, which is great for practicums and observations!
Cattell Elementary is a very low income school where more than 75% of the students are free and reduced both lunch and breakfast. We wanted to find a way to help out this school that is very important to us as a university.
As a club, we are required to have a service learning project that gives back to the community. Our goal was to show the students to love reading and become excited about school. We thought it would be amazing to "adopt" the school, and buy each student a BRAND NEW BOOK. We will need to raise enough money to buy around 375 books!
To do that, we need to raise money! We need the help of not only our unviersity, but our community! Please take the time to donate. It will allow an amazing opportunity for the students!
