October 14th, around 8:30pm, Marlena was rushed to the emergency room due to complications with breathing and coughing up blood. Luckily they were able to get her there in just enough time to get her stabilized. The paramedic crew had to stop to get more help on the way as the condition was worsening by the minute. After arriving at the hospital Silas was delivered via c-section although Marlena was only 29 weeks pregnant. The choice was made to be able to perform more capable lifesaving methods for Marlena.
The Outcome
Both Marlena and Silas are in intensive care and are having difficulties. They continue to get better then get worse, so it's a lot of up and down at the moment. However there is a very strong support system in place with friends and family. However, that won't lift the financial burden this is going to have as an impact on Tim and Marlena.
What they need help with:
As soon as possible Tim and Marlena need help financially. The cost of the hospital bills alone are going to be astronomical and that is a heavy weight on the shoulders. Even though it should be the last thing on their minds, anyone that knows Marlena knows she isn't thinking about herself...she's only thinking about everyone else. Tim and Marlena need help with finances which would be a huge blessing. They also need help with baby supplies for a premie, food to be brought to the house for them when they make it home to minimize time preparing meals; they need prayers and support to continue.
Any help will be greatly appreciated and never forgotten. Marlena is a truly amazing person. She never puts herself first and is always concerned with everyone else doing okay. This is our time to return the caring and compassion that she displays for others in her time of need.
