House Fire
Donation protected
Late Sunday night while my mom and our two family dogs were home, a fire started in my dad's room, most likely from a faulty extension cord. Unfortunately the batteries in the fire alarm were dead so it never went off. She was asleep at the time the fire started and didn't wake up until the house was completely filled with smoke and fire. She called 911, grabbed the dogs and was trying to get out when she collapsed in the hallway, breaking her nose and blacking her eyes from the fall. She was unconscious when the firemen arrived and pulled her out to safety.
She woke when she was loaded in the ambulance and told them about the dogs, but unfortunately by the time they got them out it was too late. She suffered external 3rd degree burns, internal burns on her lungs, carbon monoxide poisoning, as well as abrasions on her lower back, and a broken nose. She is currently being treated and is stable.
The fire took everything in the house, including two very loved dogs, and they have nothing left except the clothes on their backs. Any donations are very appreciated and will be used to by clothes and other essentials they need. Thank you so much for all the support in this very devastating time.
