I am setting up this GoFund me page in order to raise funds for my close family affected by the Grenfell inferno.
On the 14th June, Rebecca Ross and her dad, Steve Power found themselves amongst the chaos at Grenfell tower. Rebecca made her way out of the 14th floor flat, but my uncle Steve stayed behind. He died knowing his family had got to safety: any father would feel at peace knowing they had got their kids to safety. My cousins Rebecca, Wayne and Bobby have now lost their dad to corporate negligence.
Adding to the grief, over a month on from the disaster there is still a lack of certainty as to what the future holds for the survivors, their families, and the surrounding community. The government’s handling of the situation has been disgusting, and we are lucky that the community has come together to provide support for each other.
All funds raised will go directly to Steve’s children to help build foundations for their future following Steve’s death. Any additional funds raised will go towards community projects and other families affected by the inferno.
I really appreciate any help. It means the world to know that there are people that are able to spread their kindness for this cause.
