RIP Daichell Joeann Brown (9)

Donation protected
Tragedy has struck a family in our neighborhood and we are asking for your help.

Monday, November 2, 2015 we lost a beautiful angel in our neighborhood: Daichell Joeann Brown (9) to a fatal car accident at the intersection of Woodyard Road and Canberra Drive. All past and present neighbors are more than familiar with the ongoing challenges residents face daily trying to make a left turn onto Canberra Drive from Woodyard Road. In spite of the speed limit signs being posted along Woodyard Road, many use this as a side road to speed. Rachell (Brown) Bishop and Family, along with the entire community that they have called home for decades are left numb from devastation and disbelief.

Daichell and her mother Rachell was always glued at the hip. You would rarely see one without the other. Walking, riding their bikes, visiting neighbors who was always excited to see Daichell's angelic face with a spirit to match. Loved by a multitude of family, friends and neighbors, but mostly, cherished by her loving mother and family.

This is a tragic loss that no parent would think of experiencing. For many hours, days, months and years, Rachell will grieve at a depth that will render her at her weakest moment in life. No one should have to endure this type of despair alone.

Many of you veteran neighbors whose children grew up in the neighborhood, dropped your children off at The Browns house for Mrs. Brown to watch your little loved one's while you were at work. Mr. Brown was the neighborhood Mr.-Fix-It/Painter. Rachell helped her mother with caring for the little ones.

Well, Mrs. Brown passed away around this time last year, leaving Rachell and her family to grieve the loss of the matriarch of their family. Losing two loved ones less than a year apart is extremely overwhelming, not to mention mentally and financially a challenge. Which is why we're asking for your help.

As Family, Friends, Neighbors and Strangers, can you please help Rachell and her family lay her precious Daichell to rest by going to the GoFundMe page that was setup for the family? The funds collected will go towards Daichell's funeral cost and to help the family cope with related expenses.

Any donation amount will be sincerely appreciated.

Sincerely,
The Shannon Square Neighborhood
