As of Sunday evening, the death toll from the Camp Fire in Northern California increased to 77, while the number of people unaccounted for has decreased to 993 people. Approximately 12,800 structures were destroyed, most of which were homes and the fire was close to two-thirds contained as of Sunday night after consuming roughly 150,000 acres.

UFCW 8 Member Disaster Relief Fund - Butte County, Camp Fire Update

We have close to 200 members who live in the fire zone and currently have over 70 active members who were either reported by Cal Fire, their employer or the member that they have lost their home.

Paradise, CA has a large retiree community and there could be an equal number of retirees affected.

These numbers are expected to rise as Cal Fire is still going through the region. Residents and members haven’t been allowed back into the area yet.

We’re working with local Unions, employers and other community groups to help get our members the resources they need.
