Veinticuatro estudiantes de la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) tenemos la oportunidad única de participar en la sexagésima quinta edición del Harvard National Model of United Nations, llevada a cabo en febrero del año 2019. En esta viva simulación de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas participan más de 3.000 estudiantes pertenecientes a más de 40 universidades de todas partes del mundo, quienes, en cuatro días de debate, discutirán temas de envergadura política, económica y social, desarrollarán habilidades de negociación y redactarán documentos oficiales para resolver problemáticas que hoy en día afectan a la comunidad internacional.
El valor de la institución:
Desde hace veintiún años, UCAB-HNMUN ha formado a más de 400 hombres y mujeres que, profesional y académicamente, han enaltecido el nombre de nuestra casa de estudios y de Venezuela en el exterior. Hoy nos atrevemos a decir que este proyecto, que comenzó como una mera iniciativa académica en el año 1997, ha sido y continuará siendo un programa de formación de líderes, que tanto necesita nuestro país.
El valor del pasado:
La exitosa trayectoria de UCAB-HNMUN nos llena de orgullo, pero también de responsabilidad para seguir emprendiendo este camino con compromiso. En el año 1999, la UCAB fue la primera delegación no anglo-parlante en recibir una mención honorífica, representando a Alemania. A partir de ese entonces, hemos sido la única delegación internacional en obtener el premio de Mejor Delegación en el año 2002 y 2017, Mejor Delegación Internacional (2002, 2008, 2013, 2017) y 192 premios individuales.
Existe una serie de principios que han prevalecido y construido, año tras año, los pilares de UCAB-HNMUN, que nos han permitido crecer en magnitud, carácter e integridad, junto con la institución. Creemos que hacer las cosas con corazón, esfuerzo y honor representan valores por los que vale la pena luchar, sobre todo en las difíciles circunstancias que atraviesa nuestro país. Esperamos contar con su apoyo para continuar esta valiosa tradición que ha prevalecido durante veintiún años.
Durante nuestra preparación siempre tenemos presente nuestros pilares: Amor por la institución, Honor, Trabajo Duro y Humildad. En los tiempos difíciles que enfrenta nuestro país, es vital que nos formemos como líderes integrales y HNMUN es una gran oportunidad para lograr esto. Sin embargo, la alta inflación, la crisis que enfrentamos y la difícil situación que vivimos como venezolanos nos dificulta muchísimo recaudar los fondos necesarios para cubrir los costos del transporte y la estadía en Boston.
¡Apreciaríamos profundamente tu apoyo para llegar a Boston para representar por la 23° vez a la UCAB y a Venezuela en la 65° sesión de HNMUN! Nuestro país está en una necesidad desesperada de generaciones que encarnen el trabajo duro y valores. Ayúdanos a preparar a estas generaciones.

Esta campaña la maneja, en nombre de la directiva de la Delegación de UCAB-HNMUN 2019, Antonio Alamo, hermano del Jefe de la Delegación, Sebastian Alamo. Antonio nació y creció en Venezuela y ahora estudia en Northeastern University. Los fondos de la campaña son para pagar la cuota de inscripción a la competencia (2.000 $) y para pagar la estadía en Boston los días de la competencia (8.000 $). Antonio retirará los fondos y se los transferirá a Sebastián, quien hará los pagos correspondientes a la competencia y al hotel.

Twenty-four students of the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello (UCAB) have the unique opportunity to participate in the sixty-fifth edition of the Harvard National Model of United Nations, held in February 2019. In this lively simulation of the United Nations Organization, more than 3,000 students from more than 40 universities from all over the world participate. In four days of debate, they will discuss issues of political, economic and social importance, develop negotiation skills and draft official documents to solve problems that affect the international community nowadays.
The value of the institution:
For twenty-one years, UCAB-HNMUN has trained more than 400 men and women who, professionally and academically, have extolled the name of our house of studies and of Venezuela abroad. Today we dare to say that this project, which began as a mere academic initiative in 1997, has been and will continue to be the leadership training program that our country so badly needs.
The value of the past:
The successful trajectory of UCAB-HNMUN fills us with pride, but also with responsibility to continue undertaking this path with commitment. In 1999, UCAB was the first non-English-speaking delegation to receive an honorable mention, representing Germany. Since then, we have been the only international delegation to obtain the Best Delegation award in 2002 and 2017, Best International Delegation (2002, 2008, 2013, 2017) and 192 individual awards.
There is a series of principles that have prevailed and built, year after year, the pillars of UCAB-HNMUN, which have allowed us to grow in magnitude, character and integrity, together with the institution. We believe that doing things with heart, honor and hard work represent values that are worth fighting for, especially in the difficult circumstances that our country is going through. We hope to count on your support to continue this valuable tradition that has prevailed for twenty-one years.
During our preparation we always keep in mind our pillars: Love for the institution, Honor, Hard Work and Humility. In the difficult times facing our country, it is vital that we form ourselves as integral leaders and HNMUN is a great opportunity to achieve this. However, the high inflation, the crisis we face and the difficult situation that we live as Venezuelans makes it very difficult for us to raise the necessary funds to cover the costs of transportation and the stay in Boston.
We would greatly appreciate your support to arrive in Boston to represent for the 23rd time the UCAB and Venezuela in the 65th session of HNMUN! Our country is in desperate need of generations embodying hard work and values. Help us prepare these generations.

This campaign is run by Antonio Alamo, in the name of the board of directors of the 2019 Delegation of UCAB-HNMUN. Antonio, who was born and raised in Venezuela and now attends Northeastern University, is the brother of Sebastian Alamo, Head Delegate of the Delegation. The funds raised in this campaign will be used to pay for the registration fee of the Conference (2.000 $) and to pay for accommodations in Boston during the conference (8.000 $). Antonio will withdraw the money and transfer it to Sebastian, who will make the respective payments to the conference and the hotel.
