UPDATE, Friday, March 15:

The Carrizo Comerudo tribe of Texas has a mission to populate and support a network of peaceful front Line Encampments (Wolf Pack) villages along the Mexican-American border. The villages are tasked with, "protecting indigenous sacred sites, resisting construction of the LNG (fracked gas) terminal, accompanying pipelines, and educating people about the environmental devastation the Border Wall will cause." The mission of the Carrizo Comerudo tribe includes bringing witness and peaceful direct action to the border wall as it is being constructed. Peaceful operations planned and phased over time will educate the world on this misguided and unnecessary project.

We continue building more camps and villages and and just opened our new encampment on the grounds of the National Butterfly Center.  For those interested in standing the line you are encouraged to join us.  For those who understand our resistance but cannot come, please contribute generously that we may continue fighting for basic Human Rights.

At times Camps A Rising is able to provide small capacity building grants. We received a grant from the Mahmoud S. Taman last fall. Using part of that grant we offered a pass along contribution to Mason BobbyLeonard. Added as a match with other contributors Bobby will increase his capacity to work.

Bobby's work along our southern border is to operate CAR's drone to document and witness activities of Mr. Trump's Border Wall construction. He has been fundraising to repair and get his own drone back in the air. Once he is able to do so, there will be two sets of eyes in the sky keeping watch.

Bobby will build capacity by teaching another drone operator to use CAR's unit. Please join Camps A Rising to partner with others in building even more capacity. Contribute what you are able.

Thanks

The last update to this Go Fund Me requested funding, “…to provide the resources the Carrizo Comecrudo Tribe of Texas needs to witness, monitor, report and educate the public on what is really going on at the border. To do this some existing laptops need upgraded external hard drives, better batteries, software to produce video shot from their drone fleet. Laptops are needed at each village to coordinate people and supplies…”

Since then Camps A Rising ordered an upgraded external hard drive and one new PC. We must continue this campaign and fund a dedicated PC for our media team to collect and edit drone video footage to witness and report to the public. A large part of our mission is to protect sacred sites and educate the public.

See the attached footage of wall construction. You can view the receipt for upgrades thus far.

Mr. Trump is building his wall. Land has been bulldozed anticipating the construction of a 33 mile stretch along the Rio Grande river in south Texas. It's being paid for using $641 million congress authorized two years ago.

As of yet he has been unable to bully congress for more. He did though create a diversion. He ordered his generals to reroute money used for strategic defense to his number one pet project. The generals found $1 billion, enough for another 57 mile stretch.

But the Carrizo/Comecrudo Tribe of Texas stands in Trump's way. Their mission is to populate and support a network of front Line Encampments (Wolf Pack villages) along the Mexican-American border. From these front line villages they are protecting indigenous sacred sites and educating people about the environmental devastation the Border Wall will cause. They fight to stop the senseless endangerment of people, animals, and the environment.

With a support base camp and two established front line villages they will soon add a fourth. And now they find communication is becoming a challenge. The wide open spaces of Texas and the ever changing situation on the ground means that enhanced web access, computer power, voice and data communication is essential.

This GO Fund Me campaign is designed to provide the resources the tribe needs to witness, monitor, report and educate the public on what is really going on at the border.

To do this some existing laptops need external hard drives, better batteries, software to produce video shot from the drone fleet. Laptops are needed at each village to coordinate people and supplies. Communications are increasingly important.

We are asking you to help meet a $2,000.00 technology goal. Please help today.
