Women Without Limits

Sam McMahon is a young woman from rural Australia with the aim to become the first Australian woman to climb both Mount Everest 8,848metres and Lhotse 8,516metres (the fourth highest mountain in the world) in the same expedition....whilst carrying all her own gear.

She climbs with another woman, a young Nepalese mother, as well as a local guide. If sucessful their aim is to then go on and climb the all fourteen of the world's 8,000m peaks, of which they can already tick off Manaslu (also known as Killer Mountain in Nepal) 

Sam is an incredibly inspiring young woman, having undergone a complete hip replacement at a young age and surviving a serious car accident that resulted in having screws and plates placed in her leg.  

Her passion for adventure is contagious, but her pursuit to help promote improved working conditions for women, and give back to the communities she encounters along the way make her truly special.

She is brilliantly engaging, generous in spirit and clearly has a passion for what she’s attempting to achieve.

Sam came to us for a monetary sponsorship, but we feel we alone wouldn’t be able to do justice to her ongoing pursuit to inspire and improve quality for women and promote adventurous and healthy lifestyles.

Hence why we started this GoFundMe page and are kicking it off with a $2,500 donation. 

The money raised will be used to cover the costs associated with her expedition and ongoing humanitarian work in remote and impoverished communities. 

For example….the permit to climb Everest alone is $11,000 USD. 

Sam departs for further training and preparation in Nepal in April.
