Property taxes

Hi my name is Meagan Garcia,
My brother and I are struggling to pay for our family’s home past due property taxes. Our home that we live in was left to me and my brothers by our mother who is not here to help us. The taxes are two years behind. Both my brother and I are college students enrolled at UTSA and San Antonio Texas A&M. We both work full-time and are doing our best to provide for ourselves and to pay on the property taxes. However it has become a bit of a challenge. As of recently, not only did we learn that the property taxes were behind, but the city of San Antonio also raised our home value from 48,000 to over 127,000 in a years time. We were unaware of the grossly inflated value of our home and did not meet city’s deadline to dispute. Thank you for reading my story and for your compassion.
