<div>That’s a brief illustration of Mr. Kyle Soltis. He’s one of the good ones, one whose amazing personality could never be articulated on a black and white piece of paper.

<div>Below you can find a brief timeline of the events that led Kyle and Kressi to present day.  While the timeline is important, it’s not nearly as important as the now.  Today, tomorrow…. The days to come.

<div>One of Kyle and Kressi’s biggest life goals was was to build a home. Through all of the extreme up’s and downs… they were able to accomplish this in 2021. The Kyle Soltis family has a beautiful home in Big Lake, MN. Their home is truly an impressive accomplishment, a testament to their courage, bravery and strength. A home that is such a blessing to share with their children family and friends as they navigate this most difficult season.

<div>Whether we like it or not, finances will play a huge role moving forward.  I would love to even lift a tiny bit of that burden from Kyle and Kressi. 
</div>
<div>Money will be used for everyday expenses, hopefully a new pup to keep Kyle company…. and quite frankly anything else that may possibly improve and or maintain Kyles quality of life.
</div>

<div>Those of you that know Kyle well know the pride he took in providing for his family. As you can imagine its incredibly hard for Kyle and Kressi to ask for help.  Please help me in continuing to remind them that we want to help in any ways possible.

<div>There are a few things to share that are not fun, but necessary…. 
</div>

<div>Kyle is no longer going to try radiation or surgery, as this will hurt more than it helps.  Understandably, quality of life is the focus. Each day is a gift.  Some days are great, others are worse; each day is a gift… as Kyle says, “it could be much worse.” 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Kyle was the majority breadwinner of his family and is no longer able to work.  Kressi does have a very understanding employer that has been a total blessing, for that they are thankful.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Kyle and Kressi would love to travel more, but with Kyles current condition even getting to doctor appointments is presenting a challenge. Spring is right around the corner and hopefully the outside air will help brighten Kyle’s spirits a bit. 
</div>

<div>If you call or text Kyle, it will be hard for him to respond.  The best way to communicate with Kyle right now is through Kressi.  When Kressi is next to Kyle, she can help him work through words.
</div>

<div> The journey to where we are today….
</div>
<div>1988 The year Mr. Kyle Soltis entered the world.
</div>
<div>1999. Kyle was diagnosed with a brain tumor.  Biopsy taken and classified non concerning. 
</div>
<div>Scans every 3 years would follow.
</div>
<div>2010. Kyles final “clean” scan.
</div>
<div>2013. Kyle married the love of his life, Kressi.  While honeymooning, Kyle suffered a grand mal seizure. Surgery in December to remove the tumor followed.  90% of the tumor was able to be removed. Kyle was diagnosed with a grade 2 Ooligodendroglioma. 
</div>
<div>2014. January, round one of chemo.  
</div>
<div>2018.  The year the tumor began to change again.  Round two of Chemo.
</div>
<div>2019. More changes in the scan. Further testing at the Mayo revealed this was not Ooligodendroglioma, it was a grade 2 Astrocytoma. Proton radiation for 6 weeks, followed by round three of chemo, 6 months in length.
</div>
<div>2021.  More changes in the scan.
</div>
<div>2022.  Another surgery.  Now classified a grade 3 Astrocytoma. The rest of the year was spent trying many new treatments, November brought good news,  the tumor shrunk.
</div>
<div>2023. In January a new growth close to Kyle’s brain stem was found. More symptoms are present.  Kyle has right sided weakness, difficulty with speech and can no longer work or drive.  Kyle continues to fight with an immunotherapy drug every 3 weeks, hopeful this drug will help with symptoms. There is another medication as well we would like to try, currently waiting for insurance approval. Keep praying. While no official prognosis has been given, they do know the risks and possible scenarios ahead.

He’s one of the good ones…

<div>Our beautiful sister is fighting ovarian cancer. At the end of January Katie visited her doctor after noticing a painful lump in her lower abdominal area. The doctor performed a CT scan and on Monday January 30th, Katie was diagnosed with Stage IIIC ovarian cancer. Katie took the shocking news gracefully and was ready to begin her battle. On Friday February 3rd, Katie underwent a 7 ½ hour surgery. She had a complete hysterectomy, lymph node removal, and had part of her colon removed which resulted in her having to have a temporary ostomy. Her surgery was a SUCCESS!! Success doesn’t always come easy. What was supposed to be a 4–5 night hospital stay, turned into a 10-night hospital stay with multiple blood transfusions and very little food. Each day got better for her, and she finally made her way home Monday February 13th. Boy does it feel good to be home. Katie will need to have chemotherapy which will consist of 6 rounds, 1 every three weeks.

<div>Katie has not been able to work since her diagnosis, and at this time there is no return to work date. Craig has had and will continue to have to miss work so he can be by Katie's side during her appointments. We have started this Go Fund Me to help ease the burden for Craig and Katie so they can concentrate on what matters most - <strong>KICKING CANCER'S BUTT!</strong> As you can imagine, the medical cost can be astronomical.

Help Katie beat cancer

Colleen has been diagnosed with a very rare cancer called Secretory carcinoma of the salivary gland. Only 1 in 100,000 people can get this. Colleen had surgery on Sept 23rd to remove a mass in her throat  and will have another surgery on October 21st to remove the rest of the cancer and the lymph nodes from inside her throat and neck. The doctors will determine what the next steps will be after they find out if and how many lymph nodes are involved. Most likely radiation and possibly chemo to follow. Colleens insurance only covers 20% of each surgery. She is not able to work at this time and has been off since Sept 22nd  and not sure when she will be able to return to work. Colleen has survived and beat breast cancer, stage 3, had basal-cell carcinoma and has had her nose reconstructed two times and is still behind bills from the last surgery. The funds will be used to help pay bills and get her through this very difficult time. We all thank you very much and appreciate your prayers.

<strong><img class="not-resizable" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/22388500_1503956052.1491_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br /><br />Baby Sawyer was born at 22 weeks and 5 days, a micro-preemie weighing 1lb 2oz.  He is “healthy,” but faces new challenges each day, and has a long way to go! </strong><br /><br /><strong>Everyday brings new challenges, some of the current goals are to maintain good oxygen levels, stable blood pressure, and make sure he does not get any infections. <br /><br />Kelsey was released from the hospital recently, but Sawyer must remain in the NICU for several months requiring daily treks each day to see Sawyer, and spend time with him. </strong><br /><br /><strong>We are asking for donations to help the Moore Family with medical bills, fuel, parking, and any other need that may arise. </strong><br /><br /><strong>We are also asking for your continual prayers for Baby Sawyer, and the Moore family .  </strong><br /><br /><strong>Thank you for your prayers and donations!</strong><br /><br /><strong>Sincerely,</strong><br /><br /><strong>The Farrand &amp; Moore Families!</strong>

On January 19th, Beckett was hit by a truck as he was getting on his school bus. He was brought to HCMC with both his tibia and fibula broken in his right leg, a chipped patella in his left leg along with a damaged ACL and MCL, bleeding and swelling in his brain, as well as a laceration in his kidney.  He underwent multiple surgeries. He had an exploratory laparotomy to  check for other organ damage. He had an external rod put in his right leg, which was later switched out for an internal rod. His left leg remains in a brace to keep his knee in place. He had a brain shunt put it to monitor his swelling and bleeding. He was connected to 6 IV's and a feeding tube.<br /><br />Beckett in the past few weeks has gotten rid of his IVs, feeding tube, and his brain shunt. He graduated from the pediatric intensive care unit to the pediatric center and is now in Gillette Children's hospital. Everyday he participates in occupational, speech and physical therapy. Beckett walks little distances on his walker, but mainly uses a wheelchair to move around. Chuck Cashion and his beautiful family have fallen into a very challenging time. An ATV accident, resulted in Charles being airlifted  to HCMC's trama center and remains in a coma.<br /><br />Charles and his wife Nell have 5 children and Charles has worked very hard growing his own business, Cashion HVAC Services. Being self-employed, this is a difficult time financially for as long as he is out of work.<br /><br />Charles has helped so many people and always makes himself available to help others.
