Help Mylissa Tyson-Mobley in her fight against cancer

<div>Hey my name is Tony Silvagni and my girlfriend Layna Moehl was in a bad surfing accident yesterday. She was ran over by another surfer in a crowded line up at the break sultans here in the Maldives. The surfer cut off another surfer who was riding behind him and he eventually ran over my girlfriends leg. It has been a very traumatic experience as we had to tie off a leash to use a tourniquet to save her from potentially bleeding out.  There was proper protocol from another friend in our boat Eli, Amber and Joaquin who assisted in the life savings of keeping Layna calm. We had to take a boat from the break to the island of Himmafushi to get an ambulance and we were told to take a speed boat from the Himmafushi to Male as the trauma to the leg would only be assisted by adk hospital. We took a speed boat to male, then we hired a truck with layna on a back board to get to the emergency room.

<div>She underwent surgery last night at 6 pm and has been in a lot of pain. We are sleeping in the hospital for multiple days as we have to be cautious of any infection. 
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, Layna’s insurance doesn’t cover her expenses over here in the Maldives. I would love to help get her home by changing her flight, putting her in business class so she elevate her leg, hospital stay costs, surgery costs, physical therapy, food, etc.  She is so grateful for any support during these challenging times that she is experiencing.  Please continue to pray for her.

Urgent Help for Layna's Medical Expenses

<div>My name is Ed Malin and I am related to Fletcher High School because I own a sub shop at the beach and we support the local Fletcher High School!  Two nights ago some criminals broke into the equipment shed at Fletcher High and vandalized the grounds and the mowers. 3 People took the two large mowers onto the field and spun deep ruts into the turf, tore up the sprinkler system, and then crashed the mowers and damaged the scoreboard. Then they jumped on the decks breaking the sway bars, flattening the tires and tearing the hoses and wires from the motors. Jerks.

<div>Fortunately the turf and sprinklers can be repaired but fixing the mowers will cost more than buying a new one.

<div>I wish I could say that Duval County will replace the mower and other damaged equipment. That is not the case. The mowers were purchased by fundraising efforts of the Booster Club and will need to be replaced by fundraising.

<div>I need not point out the importance of the athletic field to anyone, but I will. The field is a centerpiece of The Beaches. It's a meeting place. It is a space where families gather and grow. Cheerleaders, soccer teams, track and field, band, football and all of their supporters utilize the space. Collegiate and professional teams utilize Jack Taylor stadium because of its location and impeccable state of repair. The few people who maintain the grounds do so on their own time, at their own expense. To have it vandalized is a punch in the gut to those people and to those of us who take pride in the stadium.

<div>I am asking Beaches businesses to step up and help donate to replace the ruined mowers with one new nice mower. The cost will be about just over 16k. Angie's Subs is matching the first 10 businesses or individuals that donate $500. We are also going to raise 2k to secure the equipment shed. Total needed is $18k.

Fletcher Field Vandalization

Well, if you know me at all you know how difficult it is for me to ask for help. Even if it’s something as small as lifting something heavy, I don’t know what was instilled in me that has just made me think that I can do everything myself. So, with that being said, this is a gut punch to ask for help of this magnitude.

Blue Jay is alive, but on life support. The music industry as a whole is struggling to breathe and for us, not having money coming in for almost a year now has put us in a place where we need our community to rally around us and help us stay open.

So, I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, from the bottom of all our hearts, for your help. Even if it’s a dollar, 100% of your donations will be going to help Blue Jay Listening Room stay alive and continue to bring live music to Jacksonville, specifically our beaches community. 

I figured if I was ever to ask for help, during a pandemic would be the time. I know people are more understanding now than ever and I cannot tell you how grateful I am to be a part of a community like we have here in Jacksonville. So thank you, from the deepest depths. I hope we can be around for a very long time and continue to bring you live music for many years to come.

Laramie Bowen was shot and killed Saturday  October 17th. He was 18 years old , a recent graduate of Englewood High and had his whole life ahead of him. He had an amazing personality and a very kind heart. We are seeking donations to aid his Mom Nikki and his younger siblings Kyle &amp; Ava while they plan his funeral, heal and seek justice. Ric has been a light to so many in this world.  We are comforted by your messages of love and hope. We are astounded at the thousands of stories you have shared about the way Ric touched and inspired you.  Who knew such a simple man could have such an extravagant and far reaching impact on the lives of others.  His love was simply love.  He loved as Jesus loved, with his whole heart. <br /><br />On Friday, May 15, 2020, Ric went home to meet his Savior.  This sudden loss has left a void in the lives of so many.  Most never got to say goodbye, and are left with all the questions and what ifs.  I want you to know that Ric knew your heart.  He had that uncanny ability to just "know."  I want to share with you this...  Ric left this earth peacefully.  He was surrounded by his loved ones.  He knew it was time.  We held him while we sang Amazing Grace.  As we sang the last word ~ He took his last breathe.  He was finally free.  He will live on through the all of us the knew and loved him.  We can honor him by making others feel the way he made us feel ~ simply loving as we were created to do.  <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/46055072_1583780155311120_r.jpeg" alt="46055072_1583780155311120_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" />
