<div>I've organized this fundraiser for <strong>Richard Lloyd</strong>, my friend and bandmate in the Richard Lloyd Group. For those who don’t know him, Richard is a founding member and guitarist of <strong>Television</strong>, the legendary New York band whose album <strong>Marquee Moon</strong> became one of the most influential records in rock history. In March 2026, Richard was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a serious form of bile duct cancer. He has tumors in his liver, including one located dangerously close to a major blood vessel. Because of its location, doctors cannot safely operate to remove it at this time. Since his diagnosis, Richard has been through an extraordinary amount. He has been in the ICU seven times, dealing with serious complications including sepsis twice, as well as complications involving his liver and kidneys. And through all of this, he’s fighting.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Richard is currently unable to tour. For a working musician, that’s devastating—not only because performing is what he loves, but because touring is his primary source of income. Richard and his wife, <strong>Sheila</strong>, are now facing serious financial pressure. Sheila is Richard’s full-time caregiver and is unable to work because Richard needs constant support. There have also been unresolved royalty issues going back roughly two years, creating another significant financial strain at an already incredibly difficult time. And, like most working musicians, Richard is being overwhelmed by crushing medical expenses and the ongoing costs of simply getting through each month while he is unable to work. This fundraiser will help Richard and Sheila with medical expenses, monthly living expenses, and the many other costs that come with Richard being unable to work and Sheila being a full-time caregiver.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Richard has spent decades giving his music to other people. Now it’s our turn to give something back to him. If Richard’s music has meant something to you—if you’ve listened to <strong>Marquee Moon</strong>, seen <strong>Television</strong> perform, followed Richard’s career, or simply know and love him as a person—please consider donating. And if you aren’t able to donate, please share this fundraiser. Sharing it may be just as important as giving. I’ve been lucky enough to stand beside Richard on stage for the past four years. Right now, I’d like to stand beside him in a different way. Let’s help Richard and Sheila get through this.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>From Richard:</strong> “I am usually a pretty upbeat person and I am taking this in stride, but it has become very difficult on our own and financially we are strapped. That’s why I’m asking for your help. If you can see your way clear to make a donation please do that. Otherwise, please pass it around to your friends that might help and people that know me.”

<div>Many of you know Mylissa Tyson-Mobley. Maybe you know her from Fletcher High or hanging at the beach, maybe you met her on one of her energetic quests for adventure, or Maybe you share her love for music, festivals and fancy libations. One thing we all agree on is that She has been a bright light and a energetic soul for all of us around her, now it’s time we show her some love and support back.
</div>
<div>She has quietly been battling cancer that has progressed and needs all the help we can give.
</div>
<div>Her hospital bills are stacking up and she now needs a reliable SUV vehicle.
</div>
<div>Please consider donating anything that you can or sharing this link.

</div>
<div>A fundraiser event is in the works so stay tuned for details.
</div>
<div>Thank you for reading, donating and/or sharing. It’s hard to ask for help, but she needs it more than ever now. But most of all, please keep her in your prayers.

Help Mylissa Tyson-Mobley in her fight against cancer

<div>Hey my name is Tony Silvagni and my girlfriend Layna Moehl was in a bad surfing accident yesterday. She was ran over by another surfer in a crowded line up at the break sultans here in the Maldives. The surfer cut off another surfer who was riding behind him and he eventually ran over my girlfriends leg. It has been a very traumatic experience as we had to tie off a leash to use a tourniquet to save her from potentially bleeding out. There was proper protocol from another friend in our boat Eli, Amber and Joaquin who assisted in the life savings of keeping Layna calm. We had to take a boat from the break to the island of Himmafushi to get an ambulance and we were told to take a speed boat from the Himmafushi to Male as the trauma to the leg would only be assisted by adk hospital. We took a speed boat to male, then we hired a truck with layna on a back board to get to the emergency room.
</div>
<div>She underwent surgery last night at 6 pm and has been in a lot of pain. We are sleeping in the hospital for multiple days as we have to be cautious of any infection.
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, Layna’s insurance doesn’t cover her expenses over here in the Maldives. I would love to help get her home by changing her flight, putting her in business class so she elevate her leg, hospital stay costs, surgery costs, physical therapy, food, etc. She is so grateful for any support during these challenging times that she is experiencing. Please continue to pray for her.

Urgent Help for Layna's Medical Expenses

<div>Beach Businesses, Fletcher Needs a Hand
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Ed Malin and I am related to Fletcher High School because I own a sub shop at the beach and we support the local Fletcher High School! Two nights ago some criminals broke into the equipment shed at Fletcher High and vandalized the grounds and the mowers. 3 People took the two large mowers onto the field and spun deep ruts into the turf, tore up the sprinkler system, and then crashed the mowers and damaged the scoreboard. Then they jumped on the decks breaking the sway bars, flattening the tires and tearing the hoses and wires from the motors. Jerks.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Fortunately the turf and sprinklers can be repaired but fixing the mowers will cost more than buying a new one.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I wish I could say that Duval County will replace the mower and other damaged equipment. That is not the case. The mowers were purchased by fundraising efforts of the Booster Club and will need to be replaced by fundraising.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I need not point out the importance of the athletic field to anyone, but I will. The field is a centerpiece of The Beaches. It's a meeting place. It is a space where families gather and grow. Cheerleaders, soccer teams, track and field, band, football and all of their supporters utilize the space. Collegiate and professional teams utilize Jack Taylor stadium because of its location and impeccable state of repair. The few people who maintain the grounds do so on their own time, at their own expense. To have it vandalized is a punch in the gut to those people and to those of us who take pride in the stadium.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am asking Beaches businesses to step up and help donate to replace the ruined mowers with one new nice mower. The cost will be about just over 16k. Angie's Subs is matching the first 10 businesses or individuals that donate $500. We are also going to raise 2k to secure the equipment shed. Total needed is $18k.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The new mower will be presented on behalf of this fundraiser to Fletcher High which is the plan for the withdraw of the money. The largest donor, not Angie's Subs, will get their name on the side of the field house. Click on the Go Fund Me bar to help.

<div>Sincerely,

Fletcher Field Vandalization

Well, if you know me at all you know how difficult it is for me to ask for help. Even if it’s something as small as lifting something heavy, I don’t know what was instilled in me that has just made me think that I can do everything myself. So, with that being said, this is a gut punch to ask for help of this magnitude.

Blue Jay is alive, but on life support. The music industry as a whole is struggling to breathe and for us, not having money coming in for almost a year now has put us in a place where we need our community to rally around us and help us stay open.

So, I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, from the bottom of all our hearts, for your help. Even if it’s a dollar, 100% of your donations will be going to help Blue Jay Listening Room stay alive and continue to bring live music to Jacksonville, specifically our beaches community.

I figured if I was ever to ask for help, during a pandemic would be the time. I know people are more understanding now than ever and I cannot tell you how grateful I am to be a part of a community like we have here in Jacksonville. So thank you, from the deepest depths. I hope we can be around for a very long time and continue to bring you live music for many years to come.

Ric has been a light to so many in this world.  We are comforted by your messages of love and hope. We are astounded at the thousands of stories you have shared about the way Ric touched and inspired you.  Who knew such a simple man could have such an extravagant and far reaching impact on the lives of others.  His love was simply love.  He loved as Jesus loved, with his whole heart. <br /><br />On Friday, May 15, 2020, Ric went home to meet his Savior.  This sudden loss has left a void in the lives of so many.  Most never got to say goodbye, and are left with all the questions and what ifs.  I want you to know that Ric knew your heart.  He had that uncanny ability to just "know."  I want to share with you this...  Ric left this earth peacefully.  He was surrounded by his loved ones.  He knew it was time.  We held him while we sang Amazing Grace.  As we sang the last word ~ He took his last breathe.  He was finally free.  He will live on through the all of us the knew and loved him.  We can honor him by making others feel the way he made us feel ~ simply loving as we were created to do.  <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/46055072_1583780155311120_r.jpeg" alt="46055072_1583780155311120_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" />

“A sweet friendship refreshes the soul.” Proverbs 27:9<br /><br />Our friends can be the greatest source of love and encouragement. Doug and Tammi have proven this to us on so many occasions as they’ve walked beside us in times of joy and heartache.<br /><br /> <br /><br />After surgery and treatments, when good news seemed on the horizon, the Sani’s are facing Doug’s most recent cancer diagnosis. We feel, as their friends, called to support and lift our sweet friends so they know they are not carrying the burden alone.<br /><br /> <br /><br />With unwavering faith and the Sani spirit, they face this newest challenge with positivity. Please join us, the friends and family of the Sani’s, in prayer for Doug as he conquers his cancer.<br /><br /> <br /><br />With so many wanting to pray and give, we offer this account as an avenue to help lift their burden. The financial support will provide meals, assistance with medical costs, or cover other unexpected expenses that arise on our friend’s fight toward full healing and renewed health.
