<div>I was recently told something no one is ever ready to hear. At my last oncology appointment, my team recommended that I move to “comfort care.”

<div>What that means, in plain terms, is this:

<div>They no longer have treatments intended to slow or reverse the cancer. The focus shifts to managing symptoms and keeping me comfortable.
</div>

</div>
<div>I understand why they said it. But I’m not ready to accept that.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m not done fighting.
</div>

</div>
<div>I also want to be real about where things stand right now. Over the past 8 weeks, everything has changed. I’ve been living in chronic pain and discomfort. I haven’t been able to train or exercise the way I normally do, and more recently, the cancer growth in my abdomen has started to severely limit how much I can eat and hold down.

<div>The nausea has been relentless. It’s a daily fight just to get in enough food and fluids to function.
</div>

</div>
<div>I’ve lost around 45 pounds in that stretch.
</div>

<div>This has been a complete flip of a switch for me and my family, and not one we were prepared for.

<div>That’s why this next step matters so much.

<div>Over the past three years, I’ve pushed through everything conventional medicine could offer. 70 rounds of chemo, multiple major surgeries, setbacks, small wins, and everything in between. I’ve shown up for all of it.

<div>I’ve connected with a practice in Arizona called Causenta Wellness. Their approach is completely different. Instead of treating symptoms or following a standard protocol, they focus on identifying and targeting the root cause of the illness, then building a personalized plan to reverse the damage that’s been done.

<div>After speaking with Dr. Tom, it felt like a shift. An actual way forward. A real plan built around me, not a generic playbook.

<div>On June 21, 2025, we celebrated the joyful wedding of Mark and Jaime - a long awaited milestone after 15 years of deep, unwavering love. The day was filled with family, laughter, and hope for many more years together.  Just weeks later, Jaime was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer.  For the next seven months, she fought with an amazing amount of grit and grace, never losing the kindness and strength that defined her.  Surrounded by love, she touched countless lives until she unfortunately passed away on January 5, 2026.

<div>Jaime leaves behind the absolute love of her life, her husband Mark, who was by her side every single day.  She also leaves behind their nine beautiful children and three precious grandchildren.  Mark stepped away from work to care for Jaime full-time, and now the family faces overwhelming funeral expenses, remaining medical bills, and the day-to-day costs of keeping their home running for the children and grandchildren. This sudden loss has left them in a difficult financial position, and they need our help more than ever.

<div>On June 21, 2025, we joyfully celebrated Mark and Jaime Davenports wedding. A beautiful milestone after 16 years of love and devotion. Together, they’ve built a vibrant family with 9 children and 3 grandchildren, including their two daughters who live with them in Georgia. The wedding was a day of laughter and love, surrounded by family and friends, but few knew Jaime was quietly battling health challenges. Just days after returning home, Jaime was rushed to the hospital and received heartbreaking news. She has been diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of cancer. This devastating diagnosis has turned their world upside down. Mark has had to step away from work to care for Jaime and their daughters, leaving the family facing mounting medical bills and daily expenses. In Loving Memory of JAIME: Support for Mark and Her Family

<div>Please join me in supporting a wonderful person who was recently in a horrible accident that left her with two broken legs. <strong>Laura Ploss was hit by a car while riding her bike.</strong> Laura has already had surgery on both legs to take care of the broken bones, but they cannot even access the soft tissue damage, which will likely require more surgeries next year. She will not be able to put weight on her legs for 12 weeks. Her PT and OT work after that will take months. After a week in the hospital, Laura is living in a rehab center to learn how to do some small basic things (all without moving or bending her legs) for a couple of weeks. In the meantime, Charlie is working to prepare their house with a ramp and other modifications. As a nanny to small children, <strong>Laura is suddenly unemployed with no disability insurance.</strong> As a close friend, I know that the financial pressures are disrupting their ability to focus on healing.

Support Jacob Gawthorp's Recovery Fund

<div>Hi, my name is Laura Catanzano and I'm the director of Apple Blossoms Child Center, where Desiree Venedam has cared for and loved children of this community for many years. With the help of Apple Wood (sister/aunt), we are starting a fundraiser for Sean, Desiree and Malaki Venedam, in the honor of their son and brother, Xander Venedam. Xander tragically lost his life in a terrible car accident on Friday, January 6th, 2023. Des, Sean and Malaki are suffering from various injuries, remain hospitalized, and will now have to deal with this unimaginable heartbreak. They will have medical bills, services, and an incredibly long and painful road ahead of them. Any donation big or small, will be greatly appreciated.

He has been my sons emotional support dog for three years now. He has also been the emotional support dog inside of Capital City Tattoo’s shop. He’s asking for help and goes in for surgery 12/19/2022. Please help him out. He loves all of you as you love him.

Tony’s emergency vet bill

Our 9 year old daughter Lola Havana Garcia suffered a spinal stroke in the C2-C4 region. She is quadriplegic and unable to breath on her own, she’s been intubated. She is scheduled for a tracheostomy on Monday as well as a feeding tube. She’s in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. After she recovers from the tracheostomy she will be transferred to a different hospital hours from our residence where she will go through rehabilitation and hopefully gain use of her lungs and limbs. It’s going to be a long road ahead of us living the life of caring for our brave daughter with quadriplegia. Our home will have to be modified to accommodate her condition, she will require medical equipment, outpatient medical services, medical supplies, and medications for the rest of her life.  Although we are lucky to have our daughter still alive, it will be an enormous financial burden that unfortunately we can’t afford on our own. Our family would like to think we can handle such a situation but the reality is we need help. Any donations will be gratefully appreciated. Lola has a long journey ahead of her and we want to provide her the support that she needs to live the rest of her life as comfortable as possible.
